One of The best books I've ever read. This is probably one of the best books I've ever read. Sean Patrick Flanery tells a truly amazing heart-wrenchingly beautiful story of first love and loss. I'm not sure there are enough words to describe how much I loved reading Jane Two and once I started I couldn't stop. I stayed up till almost 3AM laughing and crying...a LOT of crying. Sean's gift for storytelling makes you feel like you're right there with him, just another one of the family hanging out on the porch with him & Grandaddy. I would highly recommend this book to everyone...you will not regret it at all.

The kind of book you want to buy every time you walk past it in a book store.... Flanery's no holds barred account of a young boy's navigation through life, love, and loss sent me spiraling into an emotional purge. I laughed. I cried. I felt anger, excitement and pride. The familiarity and warmth of the characters made it seem as if you were merely spending time with an old friend. From beginning to end, I was completely invested in the story. I was torn between not being able to turn the pages fast enough and wanting it to never end. The fluidity of his writing kept me locked in the moment. The imagery was so vivid it was easy to be transported to a different place and time. You can practically smell the Texas air and Jane's intoxicating spice. The constant, dependable soundtrack only accentuates the reminiscent tone of youth. He captures all the little moments. The ones that really matter. The exhilaration and insecurity of love. Seeing your heart's desire and suddenly they're the only thing in focus. The eye opening but inevitable lessons that life teaches us. Learning how to navigate the world and growing into the kind of person that can some day instil the same knowledge into future generations. The book is filled with situations that make you stop and think about your own life. The complexity in its simplicity is brilliant and refreshing. I cannot recommend this book enough. I implore you all to read. Sean, and the book, are so much more than what you think. He's not just some actor who wrote a book. He's a man with a stunning mind, an unparalleled ability for story telling, and an astonishing amount of courage. With this book, he's put a piece of his soul out there for us all to see.... Trust me, it's worth it <3

Not what I expected.... Jane Two is a book that I would not normally read. It doesn't have a lot of twists, turns and who done it's, but I truly enjoyed this book. This is a coming-of-age book that will make you feel so many different emotions and will make you think back to your own childhood, to all the firsts in life. That first love interest, the first big win, to the first big loss in life and everything in between that makes you who you are. Thank you Sean Patrick Flanery!! This is such a beautiful book in many different ways. Every time I think of this book I think of my grandmother and the impact her porch lessons had on me. XOXO

A book you'll read over & over. I knew before I even picked this book up that it'd be amazing but it exceeded my expectations. Sean managed to take me right back to my own childhood, time with family, the feeling of that 'first love', heartbreak....& regret. It tapped into every emotion I possess. It made me happy, sad, I laughed, I cried & my heart was broken multiple times but it was also filled with lots of love & joy at the same time. The feeling of family and home are very strong through the whole book, which I absolutely loved. I highly recommend this book to everyone!! Once you start it, you will not be able to put it down AND you'll find yourself picking it right back up for a 2nd, 3rd, or even more, read!!

New favorite novel. I just finished Jane Two and I am speechless. Rarely does a book ever make me cry, but a book has never made me cry three times, or forced me to put it down because I could not read beyond the tears and tear stained pages. I have found a new favorite novel, and cannot wait to re-read it and pick up any details I missed. Absolutely amazing writing. Such great life lessons and touching stories about growing up. Sean Patrick Flanery has so much talent. I highly recommend this book to everyone.
