Why?. I love this book series, don't get me wrong, but I preordered this book months ago and now it's saying I have to repurchase it.I want the money I previously spent back, but of course I probably won't get it.That's why I gave this book one star.

An great ending to an amazing series!!!. I began this series with Twenty-Eight and a Half Wishes as a free read. I was looking for a more "tame" romance novel and found his mystery-romance-comedy. The mystery part was a plus, but I was unsure of whether or not I would care for the comedy portion. Not only was I pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the book, I became addicted to the series and an immediate fan of the author. This final book in the series was well thought out and very well written, keeping me in suspense and entertained from the first to the last. The ending did not disappoint.

Really?. I absolutely loved the whole series. I was hooked for 1 week day and night and now my heart is broken that Rose and Mason are not together!! 😩

Absolutely amazing!. I first began to read this series on a bus while I was my way to work back in 2014... After reading the first book, I fell in love and immediately bought the rest of them and kept buying as new books became available. All I have to say is that, it's a series in which you not only have fun with characters, but can also relate to them. If you love romance with an uncommon happy ending, this series would be your perfect choice.

Fives stars!. I stumbled upon this book simply by trying to find a book (in the free section) that would put me to sleep. Well I found the wrong book, this series has kept me up long into the mornings. My favorite series that I have ever read. You inspire me to read more and more. ( I'll start by reading the rest of your books first.) Definitely 5 stars.

Amazing!!!. I love this series. I hope this truly isn't the last book. It will be so disappointing. I want to see what happens with Rose, Neely Kate, Mason and Joe!! I'm sure the books about Rose and Neely Kate will be great but you can't leave out all the important people of this series. What happens with Violet? Does she ever find love? Does Rose get Mason back? Where is Joe? What about Neely Kate finding love again? What about Bruce Wayne? Jonah? Ugh!!! People need to leave a good series alone.

Fun Read!. This is such a fun and entertaining series. At the end of each book I couldn't wait for the next one to be released. I highly recommend Denise Grover Swank as I haven't found a book that she's written that I didn't like. She is a true artist in writing where you can perfectly imagine the setting and feelings of a story.

An amazing fianel to the series. Holy Heck, this book was everything. I was yelling and screaming and running around my apartment with all that went on. Denise Grover Swank crafted a brilliant final chapter, that was full of danger, intrigue and shock. It's bitter sweet to see this chapter end in the lives of these characters that have become my extended family. It was so easy to get caught up in the story of Rose Gardner. A girl who was beaten down by the one person who was meant to love her. She had no life, no friends and no hope for a future. Her whole life changes the day she gets vision of her own death. She went from having nothing to having a full and happy life through the course of the series. Rose became a strong independent women, able to stand on her own two feet. She went from being the victim, to taking control of her life and refusing to let anyone keep her down. She stood up to the forces that were trying to take her and her loved ones down. Refusing to back down or cower in the corner. Rose truly found her on HEA in the book. It may not be what some people want, but it is true to the story and to her character. This was the end of one chapter in Rose's life, but not the end. The book tied the whole series together and set up the next stage in Rose's life. I can't wait to see what the future holds for Rose, Neely Kate, Skeeter and Joe as they begin to navigate the fallout from this book into the spinoff series. In Ms. Swanks hands, the new chapter will not disappoint

No spoilers so don't worry.. I first started reading these books about a week ago. It was under "recommended" or whatever it's called. After reading the latest book (just now I may add) I can't even think straight. I never thought that I would get into a remarkable series such as this. With all the unfathomable twists and turns, I couldn't stop reading. I don't think I can wait until the next book comes out. I feel like anyone can relate to at least one of the characters in this book. Weather it's circumstantial or personality. Denise is a God send. I hope she keeps writing until she can't anymore because I will read it all!

I love this series. I'm so in love with these books. My only complaint is there are too many typing errors. I waited 6 months for this book to come out. Wish they could of caught the typos.

Favorite book. Definitely obsessed with the series. This is the only book I've been following. I've been waiting for this recent book to come out for months. So I'm excited to finally read it. I recommend anyone to read this series, but start from the beginning and then read up to this point, you'll love it!

LOVE!!!. Amazing!! Once I finished reading the first book I spent every free minute reading the entire series! The storyline isn't your typical love story, it's so much better. I'm super excited for Family Jewels, but I'd love to see Mason and Rose find their way back to each other. They relationship was real and full of love from the start. Please don't ever stop writing Denise!

Love!. I hate that the Rose mystery series has to come to an end at all. But, if it must end, this was definitely the best ending possible. I will without a doubt be reading the new series and cannot wait for it. I love all of the DGS books but this one really blew it out of the water. I didn't think it would be possible to answer all of the questions and wrap things up in a satisfactory way but this book proved me oh so wrong. It was like a perfect little gift wrapped up with a nice bow all while still leaving things open enough that I'm still finding myself indescribably excited for Rose's next chapter. Thank you Denise for creating these characters and this story! Love love love!

Can't stop reading this!. This series is seriously the best I've ever read! There is never a dull moment and you literally cannot put the book down...I can't even say how many nights I've stayed up until 3am because I couldn't put the book down! I've re-read the whole series twice! I never want it to end!!!!!

Don't stop!. This is the first review I have written for this series. Please do not misunderstand the lack of review for lack of love. I have been with Rose throughout her adventures and heart ache, and I will continue to cheer her and Neely Kate on. Please do not stop writing these amazing stories and I hope and pray you bring Mason and Rose back together!! Which is kinda hard for me to say because I love Joe Simmons and James "Skeeter" Malcolm with Rose too, but Mason loves her the best!

Dark and twisty. I read this book in one sitting - I couldn't put it down. Since yesterday afternoon I have been gathering my thoughts and contemplating how to write a review without spoilers. It was a roller-coaster ride of revelations, to say the least. All the loose ends from the previous books in the series have been resolved, some very unexpectedly. The last three or four chapters are really heart-stopping. It was a somewhat dark and twisty conclusion to the Rose Gardner mysteries series, and there is no typical "happily ever after" for Rose. In all honesty, it wasn't the ending I was hoping for but I am coming to accept it. It will be interesting to see what happens with the spin-off series, and how Rose continues to grow through her next adventures.

DONT LET THIS END. OMG THIS BOOK IS MY LIFE!! I love the plot, characters, and everything about this book. I don't want it to end. I started reading when my friends suggested it and now I can't get enough. I will literally cry if this is the last book. LOVE the author and hope she keeps writing. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THIS BOOK YET, DO NOT CONTINUE WITH THIS REVIEW~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I don't know where to even begin with this review. Let me start at the feelings part. OK, this book is way more than 5 stars. I took my time reading this book. I didn't fly through the book like I normally do. I wanted to make sure that I read everything, that I got what was going on, and made sure that I was feeling what was being portrayed. What I am feeling from this book, is relief, sadness, happy, confusion. There was still one question that I felt never got answered. Maybe it did and I read over it, but I felt that it wasn't answered. She swears it was Joe's but, Kate was adamant that it wasn't. There was also Hilary's and Mason's connection, other than that Denise did an amazing job with finishing the series and wrapping it up perfectly. Thirty- Six will leave you in a major book hangover. Just when you think you may recover, you think about it again, then the hangover hits you. There is so many things that I want to write about, but that would totally defeat the purpose of you reading the book. You NEED to read this book. You NEED to finish the series. You WILL love this book and how it ends. Denise poured her heart, soul, body, mind, love and whatever else you can think of, she put it in this book. She loves her characters, she makes them her children, her best friend etc. She wants you to love them just as much as she loves them. If you have started this series, at the very beginning with 28 and a Half Wishes, then you need to finish the series! You will not be disappointed at all!!

Loved this final book!. This book was highly anticipated and it didn't disappoint. When Denise announced this would be the final book in the series I thought there was no way she could close up all of the loose ends without making it a crap load of pages. I feel as if the book ended with everything needing to be answered and no loose ends. I am so happy to find out there will be a spin off and excited to find out what shenanigans Rose and Neely Kate get into. I definitely recommend this book but make sure you start at the beginning!

Need more of Rose & NK!!. The final installment in the Rose & JR Simmons was amazing!! From the moment I opened the book till the very last sentence I was hooked. I literally could not put this book down. I devoured the book in less than 24 hrs. I absolutely love this series and I could not get enough!! The twists and turns. Who I thought was behind down thing ended up not being behind said scheme. It was amazing and gut wrenching. I'm not a #teammason fan, but I cried the last couple of chapters in this book. Oh, Denise you did a fabulous job with this book. I must admit that I was a bit upset that the diary didn't show what other secrets there are. I really want to know what else is in that journal. But other than that I was pleasantly surprised and pleased with how this ended with JR. I'm happy with the ending. I don't want to list any spoilers but I believe it ended the way it should have been. I Cannot wait to see what else is in store for Rose & Neely Kate. Denise, please don't stop writing this series. I absolutely love Rose, NK, Skeeter, Jed, Joe, & Muffy.

Love love love <3. I stumbled across this series last year and with each book the story just gets better and better. This is by far my favorite series and I hope that Rose's story doesn't end anytime soon!

The end...for now. I fell in love with this series in Twenty Eight and a half Wishes and have followed Rose's story all the way to to this current book. I have had my heart broken, laughed out loud and watched the character Rose grow from a shy introvert to a strong woman ready to face the world and all it has to offer. Each step of the way has been an adventure I'm glad I didn't miss. Denise Grover Swank brought his character to life for me and many, many readers with her wonderful story telling abilities, excellent writing and the heart she pores into her books! Denise took us through a lot of stages as we followed the story of Rose and her nemesis JR. Introducing us to many fun and endearing character as she wove the tale of JR's depravity. In Thirty-Six and a Half Motives, Denise wraps up this final chapter with plenty of twists and turns that will keep you guessing until the final pages but don't think this will be our last peek into Rose's life because Denise has many more surprise in store for us, and Rose! excellent book, excellent writing and an excellent finale...for now :-)

Spoiler alert!!! This series is the BEST!. This whole series was completely amazing! I read through all of it so quickly and it was an emotional yet exciting roller coaster. I often chose to read than to sleep because I was so caught up in the story I couldn't put it down. I'm sad to see it end without Rose and Mason having their happy ending. I fell head over heels for Mason. He was the perfect match for Rose. Always supported her and made her grow. I understand why the series ended the way it did, but I still hope that they will find their way back to each other. If I could change anything from the whole series it'd just have been that they end up together. They deserved their happiness. Ok rant over, but still have to say, these books will forever be my absolute favorites! Can't what for the next chapter in Rose's story...hopefully it includes Mason.

I wonder where Rose will go from here? I recommend this series to everyone I know that enjoys reading. Every time a new one is released i cant put it down! I get sucked into the story and enjoy every bit of it! I look forward to reading the rest of Rose's story and I hope it doesn't end soon!! I really really really hope Mason and Rose find their was back to each other. They had a strong connection and i think they can make it work.

Loved it. Really love this series. Was happy to have so much Jed and Skeeter in this book. As likeable as Mason is supposed to be, he really has irritated me the last few books, including this one. Rose Gardner. O.M.G I literally could not stop reading this book. It was AMAZING! This series of books is without doubt one of the best I've ever read. That's our girl !!. I am laying in bed still thinking about everything that happened in this book! I finished the book a few hours ago and here I am at midnight suffering from Rose Gardner withdrawals and all the possibilities for the future. Time to start reading the series again, thank you Denise for bringing all these characters into our lives, they feel so real, as if we know them personally. Sigh <3

Phoenix rising. Another well written novel byDGS. Twists & turns a plenty.Rose's journey in uncovering the vile history of JR Simmons & bringing his reign of terror to an end concludes. Rose & Neely Kate emerge stronger in character & Rose ,definitely less naive. This novel is a wonderful conclusion to an episode in Rose's life but I'm glad to say there is more to come. I look forward to more of DG S's emotional roller coaster rides as experienced through her wonderfully flawed heroine Rose & her trusty side-kick Neely Kate.
