Fabulous story. I've been a huge fan of Carly Phillips since I read my very first book by her years ago. She has always been an auto-buy author for me and I fall in love with each of her characters with every single book. I'm sad to see the Dare to Love series come to an end, but absolutely loved getting Tyler's book as the last one of the legitimate Dare siblings' books. I've wanted Tyler Dare's story for what seems like forever, and I was so happy to see Ella Shaw, his sister Avery's best friend would be his love interest. I loved there was a history between Tyler and Ella. While they have been friends since they were kids, the one night Ella and Tyler spend together when she is 18 changes everything. Where there was friendship before, there is now distance, yet Tyler has no issues going to get Ella when she is stuck in St. Lucia during a hurricane after she is mugged. Yes his sister Avery asks him to go, and Tyler wasted no time rearranging his schedule to be there for Ella. Tyler has the same protective instincts as his brothers, and his have kicked into overdrive when it comes to Ella. I loved the attraction between Tyler and Ella was so strong. Seriously loved them as a couple from their very first kiss. I also love the Ms. Phillips didn't push their past under the rug, but had them each remember that night together and have them talk about it to move forward in their relationship. Ella being concerned how Avery would react to them, as a possible couple was so perfect as well. Ella and Avery have such a special friendship, that I knew if Ella was happy with Tyler, then Avery would be happy for her, but based upon how Ella's family had always treated her, I understood her fears of possibly losing her best friend. I loved Tyler and Ella as a couple and especially loved how they got each other on every level. I think because they both had kind of been abandoned by their fathers, they each had trust issues, though Ella's were way bigger than Tyler's. I have to say, I loved that both Tyler and Ella both had the chance to confront their fathers in Dare to Take and both times had me crying just a bit, although with Tyler's dad they were tears of anger. I swear I find myself hating Robert Dare more with each book. I loved the fact we got to spend time with so many of the Dare siblings and their spouses in Dare to Take. I love getting to visit with some of my favorite characters while watching my new favorite couple fall in love. I'm sad to see the Dare to Love series come to an end for now. While I'm glad we now have all the legitimate Dare siblings' stories, I also can't wait to get the final half-sibling stories in the future. Dare to Take pulled every single emotion from me as I read it. I love a story that has me feeling so many emotions, and Ms. Phillips did it with Dare to Take. While I'm a purest and read books in the order they are released, I think a reader could pick up Dare to Take and really love Tyler and Ella's story as a stand-alone read. Excellent. Ella has known Tyler for years. His sister and her have been best friends since both donated bone marrow when they were children. When she turned 18 she got drunk and slipped into Tyler's bed. They parted on less than friendly terms and have avoided each other for years.Tyler doesn't think he'll ever settle down because he has a habit of running instead of facing his problems. He and his brother own a security company and do quiet well for themselves, but they are Dares so they come from money. Ella has been in St. Lucia for a photo shoot with her boss. Everyone has left and Ella stays behind to make sure no problems arise. But she is mugged and lands in a hospital as a hurricane is about to hit. So her best friend Avery, Tyler's sister, begs him to go down and take of her. When she is released, someone has broken into her hotel room. They have to wait until the hurricane is over before they can leave. Once back home, someone breaks into her apartment and Tyler moves her in with him. He is slowly realizing he may not be able to live without her. But first they've got to find out who is after her and Ella has her own insecurities to deal with. Between sisters having babies, facing their fathers, and someone who thinks Ella has something they want...it's a story you can't put down. The sex is out of this world hot. Two people learning to share their burdens and rely on each other. I love Ms. Phillips stories. They are entertaining and sexy. I hope Serena gets her own story. If she hasn't already.

Tyler Dare finally gets his story!. Tyler Dare finally gets his story. A few years ago, while home on leave from the Army, Tyler has a one-night stand with the girl he has always longed for but couldn't have....his best friend's little sister, Ella Shaw, who also happens to be his sister Avery's best friend too. Ella was drunk and found her way into his bed and he couldn't say no. Freaked out, Tyler suddenly left the next morning with no explanation and unknowingly left Ella hurt. Nine years later, Ella is in the Caribbean for work and gets mugged, putting her in the hospital. All her documentation was stolen so she has no way to fly home and a hurricane is heading toward the island. Avery begs Tyler to fly down there in Ian's private jet and bring her home. Ella is completely surprised when Tyler walks into her hospital room but sparks still fly anyways. I loved how Tyler, who is used to running away from his problems, threw himself right in the path of Ella. I really enjoyed how these two had issues with each other but just couldn't stay apart. I really loved how Tyler took care of Ella on the island, and how their attraction just kept getting stronger. Once they get back to the states, and Ella's apartment is broken into, Tyler goes all alpha and insists she stays with him. I really enjoyed their time together while Tyler and his company was trying to find out who was harming Ella. Tyler and Ella both discussed issues from their past and concerns for their futures. Great character development. These two were just destined to be together and they took the long way to get there. It was great seeing each of them overcome issues from their pasts. I really enjoyed their happy ending. As usual, it made me laugh, cry and swoon but it was worth it. I'm sad this is the last Dare story, but it was a great ending to a great series.

Dare to Find Love. Dare to Take is Book 6 and the last story in the Dare to Love Series by Carly Phillips. This is the story of youngest son Tyler Dare and Avery Dare’s best friend Ella Shaw. This is a story of second chances. Or maybe it’s a story of your best friend’s older brother. Yet, it might even be an enemies to lovers story. Could it possibly be all of the above? One evening, eighteen year old Ella Shaw steps over the line and throws herself at Tyler Dare, her crush. Tyler unintentionally hurts Ella afterward and the two cannot seem to be in the same room without fighting for several years after. While on a work trip to St. Lucia Ella is mugged and ends up in hospital as a hurricane approaches the island. Concerned, Avery sends Tyler to get Ella off the island and home to Miami. Tyler figures this is a way for him to apologize for his awful behavior years ago. Tyler has a habit of running away when confronted with difficult situations. He believes he is not a good candidate to have a long lasting relationship. Ella lost her mom at a young age and her dad, when she was 14, when he was imprisoned after a vehicular homicide while drunk. Ella does not trust easily and depends only on herself to take care of herself. I highly recommend this book to all readers. This book is definitely hot and sexy, but it is also a story about how people can overcome their past, and their fears, in order to turn their lives around, fall in love and move from lovers to life partners. I am sad that Ms. Phillips is ending this series, but am looking forward to see what she has in store for her readers next.

Sweet Read. This was a sweet easy read, no angst just a second chance for love. They have known each other since they were kids and after one night together he has avoided her now she is in trouble and needs him to get her out. Once he is with her he realizes that he has been wrong to stay away all these years. Throw in some mystery and drama and you have an overall good read.

Fabulous Conclusion to the Dare Series!. Dare to Take is a second chance romance and the last in the Dare series. Like the rest of the series, it does NOT disappoint! From the first chapter, I was hooked, and I could not put the book down. The suspense kept me on the edge of my seat! The characters were complex, believable, and likable. Tyler is the co-owner of a security company with a lot of baggage from his past. Ella is the assistant to a fashion designer and best friend to Tyler's little sister Avery. When Ella ends up hospitalized on a tropical island with a hurricane on its way, Avery begs Tyler to rescue Ella. What Avery doesn't know is that Tyler and Ella have a secret they've been keeping, a reason they avoid each other. Can Tyler rescue Ella in time? Who is stalking Ella, and why? Can both of them put the past behind them and make a future? Despite being part of a series, Dare to Take can easily be read as a standalone. In my opinion, the series just gets better and better with each book, and I'm sad to see it coming to an end. I highly recommend this book and this series!

It just keeps getting better!!!. "He shut her up with a kiss. A hard, long, tongue-dueling, d*ck-hardening kiss." YES! That's what I'm talking about! The Dare to Love series just gets better every time. The entire series is a 5-star rating for this very satisfied reader and Dare to Take just adds to that long list of amazing reads. Tyler Dare and Ella Shaw are setting the sheets on fire! The chemistry and passion these two share is beautiful. They both have issues from the past. Some of those issues are shared between them and some are from family members. Both know there's no moving forward unless they are able to deal with all of those issues. As far as Robert Dare is concerned, all I have to say is...READ THE BOOK! It's awesome! I love seeing all of Emma's children and their spouses celebrating her special day. Five Stars!!. This was an excellent story for all romancers. There is danger, past regrets, sexual encounters, and new love brewing. I think Tyler and Ella are made for each other, they both have pasts that is affecting their future. Together they figured out that they were meant to be in a lasting relationship. Beautiful ending to this series of Dare books and also a great standalone.

Eh. Football player turns his life around due to injury. Love interest needs to be convinced he's changed. Had potential, but the author lost me with their unending hornyness during serious situations.

Lots of Family and Sexy Times. I haven't read the previous books in this series. Although this can be read as a standalone, I think that those who have read the other books will enjoy this one more. The story is mainly about Ella and Tyler, but the rest of the family plays a big part. Tyler was Ella's first. It was a mistaken, drunken romp that has hindered their friendship for years. They're in each other's lives a lot and always end up fighting because of left over bad feelings and ignored attraction. Both also have lots of family issues to face. Tyler especially has some growing up to do. An attack on Ella puts them together, and their true emotions finally come to the surface. Dare to Take is about two people getting over past hurts and focusing on what direction they really want their lives to go. Fans of the other books will be happy to know that families matters like weddings and babies happen along the way for some of the couples. If you love to read about big close-knit families and erotic sexy times, you should check it out.

Wonderful ending to a great series. Tyler Dare is tasked to go save his sister (Avery's) best friend Ella on a island that is being hit by a hurricane. The problem is their history that they share that no one knows about. Plus there are strange things that keep happening to Ella. Can Ella and Tyler help each other work through there past and family history and history together to possibly have a chance together. These two are great together. This is the final installment of Carly Phillips Dare family and it is again shows her great style where she brings all the family members in and keeps you wanting more. It's like saying goodbye to a family member.

Must read book. I absolutely loved it could not put it down read it in one sitting once you start you can not stop reading it loved it

Kept me entertained. The only thing that bothered me is when she wrote about Waffle House. If your going to write about an actual restaurant at least google the menu. They don’t have pancakes or home style potatoes.

Sexy, sweet, and sooo good!. Carly Phillips was one of the very first romance authors I had the pleasure of reading. It’s been a long time now and still, every single book makes me want to go back and read them all again. I was so in love with her Hot Zone series, but I’m having a hard time deciding if I love The Dares even more! She knows how to write characters that inspire emotion and whether good or bad, the reader needs to connect to the characters. This book is a standalone in an interconnected series. I do recommend you read them all though, simply because they are so good! The backstory for both of the main characters was a little heartbreaking. Ella and Tyler have suffered quite a bit at the hands of their parents, and their history together is rocky, at best. But, the chemistry is undeniable and whereas before, they were young and vulnerable, now they are mature adults, who know how to hide that vulnerability behind solid walls. It seems almost like a tradition for the Dare men to chase their women and I have to say, I much prefer it to the other way around. I love seeing their soft sides mixed with the delicious alpha. Tyler has a skewed version of his own actions growing up, some of it brought on by heavy guilt, and yet, he explores the idea of being with Ella much quicker than she does. In fact, she only sees that as an unattainable dream, no matter how much Tyler tries to prove otherwise. Ella’s need to “fix” herself before she can truly commit to Tyler is admirable, but I have to say, I’ve always felt that one can find themselves even easier when they have someone to lean on and support them through the process. Never the less, the fact that she makes the attempt to conquer her issues is a big step. I fell hard for these two, individually, and as a couple. They burn hot and I had to stop and find a fan from time to time! Ok, not really, but I seriously thought about it. ;) This book definitely makes my multiple re-read shelf. Another 5 star addition to Carly’s amazing line of books!

Great Ending To A Beloved Series. Tyler Dare and Ella Shaw have history. Back when Ella, best friend of Tyler's younger sister, acted on her longtime feelings for him, it did not end well. But the years have done nothing to dim the desire that flares between the two of them whenever they're around each other, and Tyler is determined to make amends for the pain he caused Ella, and try for a second chance. DARE TO TAKE is the sixth, and, alas, the last of the books in the Dare To Love series by author Carly Phillips. That being said, Carly has given us a book filled with all of the usual hot, sexy, feel-good, and romantic elements that are her signature, and that we love. Tyler and Ella have both suffered betrayal at the hands of the people that should be their safety nets, and it has done a lot to form the way that they see relationships. But both are determined to move forward, and follow the passion that they share. It doesn't take long before passion and friendship turn into something much deeper, and, in typical Carly fashion, love triumphs over pain, and healing and growth flourish. I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the Dares. Each of the siblings and half-siblings bring their own complex personalities to the table, and their stories are engaging, original, and satisfying. I was glad to see Ella and Tyler get their turn, and, while I will be sorry to see the end of this series, I look forward to what Carly will bring to readers in future. 4.5 intrigue-filled, passionate, second-chance stars for DARE TO TAKE, a wonderful end to a beloved series.

For reader enjoyment and understanding of the characters in the book & series, I recommend reading these books in order. The series is satisfying with HEA's for all readers. Tyler is Ella's best friend's brother. He is certainly one boy that should be off limits. Ella wants what she cannot have. She has loved him for a long time. Ella is his sister's best friend. If he makes the wrong move, or says the wrong thing it could cause problems for all involved. Staying away from her is impossible too. All he thinks about is seeing her face. Talking to her. Touching her everywhere. Can these two see eye to eye? This stubborn woman and this serious man want the same end result. It's how they get there that appears to matter. Such a great story with some of our favorite characters in the series making guest cameos. ***This ARC copy was given in exchange for an honest review.
