From #1 Bestselling author Morgan Rice comes a sweeping new fantasy series.

17 year old Ceres, a beautiful, poor girl in the Empire city of Delos, lives the harsh and unforgiving life of a commoner. By day she delivers her father’s forged weapons to the palace training grounds, and by night she secretly trains with them, yearning to be a warrior in a land where girls are forbidden to fight. With her pending sale to slavehood, she is desperate.

18 year old Prince Thanos despises everything his royal family stands for. He abhors their harsh treatment of the masses, especially the brutal competition—The Killings—that lies at the heart of the city. He yearns to break free from the restraints of his upbringing, yet he, a fine warrior, sees no way out.

When Ceres stuns the court with her hidden powers, she finds herself wrongfully imprisoned, doomed to an even worse life than she could imagine. Thanos, smitten, must choose if he will risk it all for her. Yet, thrust into a world of duplicity and deadly secrets, Ceres quickly learns there are those who rule, and those who are their pawns. And that sometimes, being chosen is the worst that can happen.

SLAVE, WARRIOR, QUEEN tells an epic tale of tragic love, vengeance, betrayal, ambition, and destiny. Filled with unforgettable characters and heart-pounding action, it transports us into a world we will never forget, and makes us fall in love with fantasy all over again.

Book #2--ROGUE, PRISONER, PRINCESS--is also available!

Wow. I fell in love with this book within the first few pages. Cere is such a strong female character breaking the rules of her land of how women need to be and what they are capable of doing. This series is a must read! I love it

Bored. It was similar to previous book series I read. Didn’t want to finish to series this time.

Not worth your time.. Terrible writing style, horrible plot. Author couldn’t seem to decide where they were going with the story. A lot like other books by this author, no character development, lots a exciting things happen but are poorly described and not well thought out and they write enough in one book just to get u to buy the next where more of the same happens. Lame.

Life is never dull. A story of love of family, friends and country. What is right and good?

Will finish review later. Later

Absolutely terrible!!!. Ok so I was intrigued by the title and the summary but this book was terrible! There was no flow of events in the plot, the character were all over the place, and the summary and title didn't even fit to the book. Please don't waste your time downloading this.

Great Book. Awesome storyline & characters

Wow - this was a great read!. I could not get enough of Ceres' story. I could not put book one down! The feelings she had for both Rexus and Thanos was frustrating because you really wanted to root for both of them equally. Ceres is such a warrior and I did not expect some of the twists in this story. I'm already started on book 3 and I cannot get enough!!

It was OK. Honestly, this isn't the worst book I've read; however, it's not the best either. I did enjoy the setting, and there was a chapter from the perspective of one of the rebels that I liked. That being said, this book really needed some more editing before publication. There are some word usage errors, and the story's pacing did feel a bit rushed. Also, some things the characters did seemed illogical. I don't want to give away any spoilers, but there were several instances that really stood out to me. Overall, this wasn't a bad way to kill a few hours, but I wasn't blown away.

Of Crowns and Glory. Great read! Loved it.

Slave warrior queen. Another great story by M Rice. Well written with great characters and plot.

There's a good story here. So there's a good story here, but honestly the author should be very upset with her editor. There are tons of misused words, not to mention unnecessary repetition and fluff in both dialogue and narrative that should have been cut. Most importantly so much of it is rushed and there are several places that simply don't make sense because of it. This could be taken from a quick, slightly painful read if it was carefully edited and the relationships expanded upon.

Not my favorite. This book did not take you on a journey. It simply told you what happened and then moved on to the next thing. The characters were unrealistic and the extreme cruelty of the world was unbelievable, as in I just didn’t buy it. The bones of a good story were there, it just didn’t do it for me.

Slave Warrior Queen. Loved it.

Interesting but with some flaws. I agree with one of the reviewers below that this should have gone through another round of editing. I find that the story is interesting enough, if not terribly unique (considering this story formula is very popular at present), but is still lacking in its build up and character/relationship development. There is also a huge pacing issue that detracts from the story as a whole. There are other smaller issues that were mentioned by a previous reviewer, such as the excessive fluff and repetition that detract from the story as well. Also, the mother of one of the main characters has this inexplicable hatred for her daughter and it's just unrealistic. It's true that there are mothers that aren't motherly, etc. but there's usually a deeper reason (in life and in fiction) or some sort of development that at least give you insight into the character. The reasons used here to 'supply' her hatred are weak and flimsy, so it's just very unbelievable. I will continue to read because I like it enough to want to see where it goes, but it needs improvement. I'm surprised more people haven't commented on these issues.

Can't wait for the 2nd book!!. Completely hooked and love it!

Bad Writing. I knew that I would not be reading the rest of the series when the author wrote that a shriek “tumbled“ from a man’s lips. Why would you ever describe a shriek as 'tumbling' from someone’s lips?

Great read. Strongly recommend

Slave, Warrior, Queen. Awesome, well told tale of love & loss, victory & defeat, triumphs & tragedies. Highly recommend by all means give this one a try you may just find your new favorite author.

Disappointed but wanted to love it. The writing is stilted, awkward and overwrought. The plot is lame and the characters are one-dimensional stereotypes. And why do they depict Ceres as an archer on the cover when she mainly uses a sword? There’s some talent exhibited but too little; I could never recommend this book or series.

I got it for free. Wow! This sucked me in from the beginning and I can’t wait to read more. I don’t buy books because I would be broke so I’ll be looking for the rest of the series at the library. The only part I didn’t really like was how fast the main character and Thanos fell in love. That was unrealistic and there wasn’t enough there to make me feel it was love at first sight.

Lame, obvious, poorly written. One of the worst books I’ve read in a long time. Good job it was free. The story line is poor, very obvious and cliched.

Just don’t. This was bad and I regret reading this.

Liked the story. Liked the story but found the book took me a while to read.

Magnificent. Alluring and enchanting, ‘Slave, Warrior, Queen’ has changed the meaning of excellence. It was impossible to put down, and even more so to not feel effected by the beauty of these characters. I cried the entirety of this book and wouldn’t want it anyother way... If a book is powerful enough to make you cry, than it is truly a magnificent book...

Reads like a plot summary scribbled on a napkin. A long napkin.. Disclaimer: this is the first Morgan Rice book I've read. And it was free. So maybe her other books are great. Maybe. This book was not great. And I read a lot of fantasy YA fiction. This book read like an idea of a book, not yet fully formed, not fleshed out. It could have been great. The concept of a slave girl becoming a gladiator becoming a princess in a fantasy roman setting should work. But the characters were one dimensional, told you what they were thinking and then went and did weird out-of-character things anyway. Backstories that might of influenced hopes and dreams simply didn't. Oh and the most wishy washy characters suddenly become super villains. So strange. I gave it one star because I'm not sure if you can give zero stars. And it was free.

Worst fantasy book ever. Was like it was written by a ten year old it had no substance, the dialogue was utter nonsense, I couldn't finish it

A female alone is vulnerable no matter what she does.. Ceres is the only daughter of a weapons maker, although loved by her father and 2 brothers, she is despised by her mother. The times are hard and the average working man is just one step from starvation. Her father takes work far from home in order to improve his family’s situation and Ceres’ life takes a decided turn for the worse. She is caught between 2 men, one a nobleman related to the despot king and the other a revolutionary and ends up fighting for her freedom and her life.

Not good. This should be part of the Unfortunate Events series - more & more bad things just keep happening. I tried to finish it but just couldn't because the things that go wrong are a bit unbelievable. It's just over the top & I couldn't force myself to finish it.

Nice. Amazing book but I can’t buy the other books in the series

Not Bad!. I came into this book not expecting much and was actually surprised on how I enjoyed parts of it. The story and overall theme is actually great. However, there were a couple moments that took you out of the book such as how Anka barely spoke to Ceres in her room and how Ceres was able to feel the chopping block with her hands despite them being tied up a page ago. It also had the tendency to cut from scene to scene instead of fluidly transfer into the next one, but only a little nitpick of mine. Liked the characters and the setting. You had a very good start to this book series and hope to read the next ones soon. Continue to work and improve your writing skills! :)

👍🏼. This book was really good, Finished it in one sitting. I fell in love with the characters quickly. I’m really excited to read the other books. Totally recommend.

Excellent Read!. The twists and turns were exciting. Have read three series from the author. Enjoyed them all🔥

Good Read. Liked this Book, was a nice read, reminded me of Sarah J Maas - Throne of Glass, kept me engaged from start to finish. Looking forward the the future books in the series.
