Not so hot. I read this book to the end because I love Harry. But it wasn't really a Harry Bosch story. If you love the series you will read it too I know but prepare to be disappointed. Maybe this was a segue book. Or maybe Harry's stories are all told.

Not MC's best. I'll be honest, this book wasn't up to his usual standards. The writing felt very impersonal, the two plot lines didn't really mesh, it was like hopping from one book to another, and way too much time was spent talking about roads in LA...totally a waste of words if you don't live there.

The wrong side of Goodbye. Enjoyed it. Was totally engrossed by the twists, turns & nice ending. Liked it enough to purchase his 1992 Harry Bosch novel. Keep writing

Stopped Reading. Need verification did the UH 1 have a steal wall between the pilot and crew? All pics that I've seen show none. I want to check with Connelly's advisor. Could he have meant the back wall between the fuselage and pax? This detail stopped me dead. Spent the day researching.

WRONG SIDE OF THE NATION. I’ve been reading Michael Connelly’s books since his first when he was living in FL. He has always been Anti-Law Enforcement, which initially I took as his way of thinking he was appealing to the general audience who will 'hate cops' bc they rightfully got a ticket. I like his style of writing…..keeping the dialoge, detail, action and suspence flowing…..even though his facts have not always been right. Having lived in CALIFORNIA for 45 years, watching this beautiful vibrant state deteriorate due to the unfettered ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION at the hands of the Liberal-Progressives (Democrats) who now run this SANTUARY STATE, I have to say that this will be the last Connelly book I read. He has a home here now hobnobbing with the elitist Hollywood Crowd and he has no idea that these Hispanic invaders are destoying the border states as well as American’s culture, economics and sovereignty! All of his liberal misgivings pour out in this book giving a false picture of how great the Mexicans are for California. As someone who was born here I must say that the Mexicans coming here have made it difficult for those of us who are here proudly as Americans. They don't want to assimilate or speak English. The majority of them are on government assistance. The author's glorification of this “Fruit Basket” Los Angeles lifestyle is masking the barrios in Southern California and up the coastline now affecting San Francisco Bay areas to Sacramento. I have moved from southern to northern California and plan to move out of California in the very near future. Connelly’s injection of his political views reflected through out his works has culminated in his all out pitch for HILLARY in this last book, published in October 2016, just before the ELECTIONS!! The author and this book are getting 2 Stars and a short GOODBYE from me.

Action packed. From cover to cover. 2 great stories rolled into one book. Good stuff!

A gifted writer and a solid, good book!. Michael Connelly is a creative and talented writer. Having read all his books, I can say "The Other Side of Goodbye" is interesting and intriguing. I hope Harry Bosch works forever!

The Wrong Side of Good Buy. I've enjoyed every one of the previous books in the series, but this one was nothing special and certainly not worth the $14.99 price. Too contrived, no character development, just a so so read. I will likely pass on the next one.

Top Notch Connolley. I have read almost all of Michael Connolley’s novels. This could be one of his best.

Another great novel. This is a fantastic read. I think that it is my favorite Bosch novel so far.

Two Mysteries combined in one book. Well, I felt like it was two plots mixed into one. Kind of like a Love Boat episode. Neither one was special. Too much technical detail about geography and was boring at times.

Great book!. Not sure what all the negative reviews are all about. I've read every single Connelly book and I thought this one was just as fresh as all the rest. Really enjoyed the new chapter in Harry's life. I'm hoping to see the baton passed to Maddie at some point in the future...

The Wrong Side of Goodbye. Outstanding book! I enjoyed reading this latest Bosch mystery, and thought it was great! I've read every one of this author's books, and cannot put them down. I thought both cases, the SFPD Screen Cutter rapist, and the private investigation to find an heir were interesting, and both had surprising twists. I'm glad society is more accepting of single mothers, alternative lifestyles, and wish there were more people like Bosch willing to search for truth and justice regardless of the fallout.

Wrong side of goodbye. This book and the intertwining parallel stories marks the new era of award winning books. I truly don't know how he does it but all readers of mystery and police novels must read this book. It's a smash.

Good read. This book was exactly what I was looking for before getting on a 5 hour flight. If you are looking for the next classic, this is not it. If you are looking for entertainment and a good read I recommend it.

The Wrong Side of Goodbye. Excellent murder mystery written in a police procedural format. It’s quite clever, the characters are relatable and the stories interesting. An improbable series of Superman sequences are a bit over the top but ok.

First Class As Always. Michael Connelly has written another amazing thriller. His books never last long enough (or perhaps I just read them too fast).

Great read. I love both characters Bosch and Haller separately but it’s makes it even better when their together in the same novel loved this book!

Great to have Harry back. It's always fun to read a new Harry Bosch book but this one is particularly good. Harry is in a good situation in his life and has found a niche that allows to to carry on his mission without always fighting against his superiors. It's a refreshing and hopeful story and it's nice to find Harry happy.

A tight intertwined plot with lots of twists and turns sees the experienced detective solve two separate cases each of which impacts on his ability to focus on the other. His relationship with his daughter is further developed but it's time for Harry to find a love interest!

Great and satisfying read. I really, really enjoyed the story. Harry Bosch with a little bit of Lincoln lawyer thrown in for good measure. Two separate incidents with Harry multitasking through it all, with satisfying results. Thanks Michael Connelly and everyone involved with putting this book together.
