The Marriage Lie. Good, suspenseful book. Loved the ending.

Good story. Until the end. That was a big disappointment.

Poor writing, terrible plot. The characters’ actions are not believable, and the main character behaves in incomprehensible ways. Plot is held together by a shoestring, and what passes for a twist at the end is weak and unlikely. Two stars because the author was able to finish a book.

Don’t bother.. Not the worst book I’ve ever read, but definitely not worth the money or the time. Plot is clunky, characters flat, writing skill/style is patchy.

Good but…. This was such a great book with so much anticipation and suspense. Everything was great until I got to the part where the author consistently insisted on describing the black character using food references and constantly highlighting their physical features. If the rest of the book wasn’t as good as it was I would’ve stopped reading but I was almost finished so I stuck it out.

The Marriage Lie. Loved it. I couldn't put it down. I was really thrilled with the ending. He was a rat. I will read another by her.

So many twists. I love unpredictable books and this one will have you guessing until the very last page.

The Marriage Lie. I'm not sure which is worse; the poorly written story or the whiney narration of said story. Don't waste your time.

Only ok. A dysfunctional couple, and an unrealistic premise makes for a read that’s too far fetched to be believed.

Great!. This book was very good! It has a lot of twists and turns! It kept me on the edge of my seat.. the ending was great. I highly recommend this book!!

Good read. I really enjoyed this book but was disappointed by the ending. It wasn’t a horrible ending, just a little unrealistic. I always read thrillers and therefore believe to have good judgement on reviewing books of the genre and would still definitely recommend this book.

The Marriage Lie. This book is a page turner. It is very well written, and full of suspense. There is nothing typical or expected in the storyline, which made reading it very enjoyable. The characters are well developed, and I liked them even when I didn’t like some of their behavior.

Great read. I couldn't put the book down! What a great read.

Love, drama, suspense, anger, etc.. You name it, this read had it. I read this in two days of vacation on the beach. It was fast moving, easy to follow, exciting and had great plot twists. The ONLY reasons I didn’t give it five stars is because 1) the ending is open. Obviously intentional but I wanted reconciliation. 2) the hole of a one-way ticket to Seattle and no one questioned that. There could have been a whole new twist there. All in all great book that I recommend to crime and drama lovers alike.

Good, quick read. Definitely a page turner but the main character’s decision making was hard to follow resulting in an okay ending.

The Marriage Lie. I loved this book! From the first page, I couldn’t put it down! This is the kind of story that has it all! Lovable characters, despicable characters...some as it turns out are both! It really makes you stop and think. A story with so many twists and turns you just can’t put it down! I hope we get a sequel!

Unimaginative. I feel like two very different authors wrote the first and the last chapter.

TERRIBLE. Don’t waste your time with this lame, over emotional, boring and stupid ending book. The main character is just dumb and whiny, so annoying. Sentences like “Pangs of hurt deep inside rip me open again” are about every other sentence in the book. In the audio book, the reader reads all of the males as sounding half drunk, slow and stupid. Sometimes she uses a southern accent, sometimes she doesn’t. I laughed out loud at how dumb the writing was, didn’t even bother to finish it because I knew the ending was stupid. What a waste of money. Horrible reader on the audio book. Can’t believe it was even allowed to be sold.

Fabulous and well written. Excellent and well written! Couldn’t put it down. I loved learning about Iris and Wills relationship. And loved the ending. For anyone who loves thrills and mystery and a great love story. This one is for you. How far will you go to find the one you love

Good Read but disappointed with ending. Easy read and kept me wondering how it was going to come together at the end. Not what I was expecting.

Kept me guessing. Thoroughly enjoyed my first Kimberly Belle novel. Though I wasn’t sure I liked our heroine initially- she draws you in as you get to know her. The story pulls you in with Iris and you travel her doubts and hopes and grief until the very end. Definitely the most enjoyable and entertaining read I have experienced in a while.

I could not put my phone down!. Excellent from start to finish! I was Intrigued from chapter one.

Great book!. I’m a slow reader, and I found myself looking forward to going home to read to find out what happened next. Highly recommend!

Slow Moving. One of those books you have to push yourself to finish because it moves so slowly. The plot does not seem to thicken, rather, it turns into a soupy mess of convoluted parts. Nice try, but don’t waste your time on this book.

The Marriage Lie. Awful. Annoying and irritating to listen to. If you have any testosterone in your body this book will make you angry. Spoiled, self absorbed female lead characher who follows a repeating cycle of denial-crying-vomiting. Total waste of $

4.5 stars. I really enjoyed this book. It contained lots of suspense and twists and turns. That being said, it was a bit predictable. The ending was a great surprise.

I want my money back.. Awful book. Blatant racism, classism, stereotyping. The suspense is well written so you don't see the absolutely terrible ending coming. Huge disappointment.

Seemed unfinished. The book was ok, there were a lot of characters that were introduced that weren’t developed.

Not what I was expecting.... Every time a book has “marriage” and “lies” in its title, you expect some sort of betrayal like infidelity or abuse. Not so for Iris and Will. There are not many books that I mourn the end, but can’t help but speed through to finish it. This was exceptionally written and I am extremely curious to read Ms. Belle’s other works.

Love!. I loved this so much. I do feel like the ending was a little rushed but only because I didn't want it to end.
