Does this really have to be the last book in the series?. Can't say how much I love this world and the characters. Oh please, Anne Bishop, give us more. What happens with the elementals? Wouldn't it be cool to see more of their world? And I loved what happened with the two Elders who were trying to learn more about the small shifters and the humans. I'd like to see lots more about Jesse Walters and Prairie Gold. More about Hope and Sweetwater and Jackson. Just more about everyone. I know it's not fair to ask an author to spend more time with characters that their tired of, but, i'm sure I'm not alone with my wish and my hope. I wonder. Could this be a weakness for Ms. Bishop? Being able to create an ending?

Aroooo…. I’m here…. I’m very sad this series of books is over. This is the second time I’ve read it. The first was through the library. But I loved it so much that I bought it a year later to read it again. I enjoyed it more a second time.

Great read!. Loved my visit with the Lakeside Courtyard and its residents. Sad I have to wait a whole year for another visit.

I'm sad 😔. Because I'm done with the book! This story line leaves me wanting more. Can't wait for the next book!

Etched in bone. Truly dull. The whole series was poor and this was the worst of a bad bunch.

Incredible alternate reality world building. .This series is truly unique- the story arc through the books is compelling, the characters sensitively drawn, the struggles and interactions between the species are so believable, (if a little grim) highly recommend !

Great Read. Another interesting read in the Others series. You need to read the entire series for all of the pieces to fit. I even went back to book 1 to help me understand the background.

Painful. Spoiler (if you can call it that...) How did this series end on a potluck?? The resolution of Meg and Simon would have been better suited for a Sweet Valley High chapter. The amount of time dedicated to the potluck was insane - and just a few miserable pages on M&S.

This series just keeps getting better!!. I started reading books in the fantasy genre many years ago and I have to say that by far this series by Anne Bishop is at the top of my list. I almost wish I had discovered them later so that I could just binge read. Looking forward already to the next installment.
