Honest. Looks into the depths of a spy in a way I have not seen before

Fascinating read. Couldn’t put it down. Brilliant story telling!

Lack of depth. This had potential to be an interesting book. However, the author spends so much time on his pre spy and post spy life that the reader is left wanting and regretful. If after so much time in the US, the only meaningful intelligence gained was insurance software, then it's hard to see why he was awarded The Red Banner, the USSRs 2nd highest espionage award. Either the author left out the most important part of the story or we grossly overestimated the espionage efforts and results enjoyed by the Soviet Union. This book lacked substance on the issue most readers would buy it.

A page turner. I couldn’t put book down

Wonderful book!!. I was looking for a book to read so I came across this. I started reading it thinking it would be a regular boring book that just talks about history stuff. As I began to read more and more of it I loved every word of it. I finished it and would totally read it again. It’s very inspiring and encouraging. Also really good for times when traveling or bored.

Truth is better than Fiction. A book of amazing insight into a world that most of us really know little about. Having read many books on spies - this actual real-life-spy memoir is most interesting and the transformation from cold-war enemy spy to full-fledged US Citizenship is amazing.

Simply amazing.. I was not able to stop reading, I loved it, simply amazing.
