Entertaining but couldn’t finish. An entertaining set up but overall comes off ridiculous and hoaky. Solid story. I liked this book.. it was a quick, easy read with likable characters. The romance was sweet and not very explicit. While not the most original concept around - I've read a few other "alien bride" books, the details and characterization make it different than the rest. Probably would read the others in the series. Just cute and fun!

Other Characters More Interesting. Reading about Bond and Posey was honestly boring but the secondary characters is why I kept reading the series. Plus, for the genre of Alien Romances, this book is better than most. And the title is misleading on how well the story is developed and written. Unfortunately this is the first book of the series but the second book is better, and I’m assuming the 3rd one is too! Keep going!!

Dnf. Started off interesting. But fell off with the weird vigil anti stuff and the fake Mennonite story. Just couldn’t keep going. Lose Earl and the Mennonite tag, redirect the story, and it would be much better. I don’t buy the “it’s okay he shot at people because everyone loves him” line. And why pretend to be a religion? Instead make the whole town in on the mating thing. It would be much more interesting imo.

A fun read, like the cover art. I enjoyed this book and the author’s writing style. The characters and story line were fun. I don’t think I would ever name a person Posey though. I liked the cover art as well. I would recommend this book.
