Clay Jensen returns home from school to find a strange package with his name on it lying on his porch. Inside he discovers several cassette tapes recorded by Hannah Baker--his classmate and crush--who committed suicide two weeks earlier. Hannah's voice tells him that there are thirteen reasons why she decided to end her life. Clay is one of them. If he listens, he'll find out why.

Clay spends the night crisscrossing his town with Hannah as his guide. He becomes a firsthand witness to Hannah's pain, and as he follows Hannah's recorded words throughout his town, what he discovers changes his life forever.

I really liked this book even though it was heartbreaking. I wish the whole thing would have been a dream. But alas, not all great books have happy endings.

I do not like many books, mostly because I never really understand why they wrote the book in the first place. But this book has kept me on my seat. It made me stay up late just to finish it all because i just fell in love with the way the book is written and because it had me wanting more. Many books end up with a happy ending. ‘The guy gets the girl, the girl gets the guy, the get married, they lived happily ever after’. This book has its own ending and it fits the story line perfectly. I just hope you give this book a chance, its worth it.

This book was pretty much interesting, it really did capture my attention. I somewhat didn't feel that it was deep enough, especially for a suicidal topic. And lastly, I really didn't like the ending, it was vague in my opinion. I was also hoping to read about the details of her suicide.
