Loved it. Loved Tess and Nathan’s story. Couldn’t put it down. Good storyline and I’m glad all the characters from book 1 were woven in, except Emma whose story is next to read.

Stronger heroine needed. Plot was good. Nathan was awesome. Tess was the weak link - pun intended. Loved Tess’ family and her best friend, Deanna. Everyone pulled their weight except for Tess.

Follow Love. As with the rest of the Diamond Creek series, this story is great! It’s characters and storyline touch your heart.

Slow burn. I really struggled to read this book. It was a seriously slow burn. I didn’t feel the characters had chemistry, it seemed a big jump from limited talking to full on intimacy. I felt like these were mid-20th century characters in a 21st century world. The female protagonist was insecure, though all the positive things ‘a woman should be’ which I felt was simply stated but not conveyed. The male protagonist was a typical alpha male but had a sensitive ‘read women’s minds’ side. All in all they didn’t not feel real and as such left me reading incredulously. There were lots of editing errors, particularly in the latter half of the book, which is a pet peeve of mine. Missing words, incorrect tense and ‘assent’ spelt as ‘ascent’ which feels like such a rookie mistake - to name a few. Might be suited for an older generation but did not sit well with my gen Y, strong, independent and equality of the sexes mentality (I say this knowing that romance novels generally cater to the typical female/male roles and attributes).
