A story of the unbelievable strength of men. After reading this book I feel as if I physically made the journey with the group. What strength they had.

Good adventure book. Endurance of the human spirit and many leadership lessons we could all benefit from.

Highly recommended. Fantastic!!! What a tale of survival….Shackleton wanted to cross the Antarctic, but I think he ended up achieving something greater. The writing is impeccable. One of the most exciting non fiction books I’ve ever read.

What a book!!. Inspirational and awe-inspiring!! The toughness, tenacity, and the will to live that these men displayed is beyond admiration. I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity to read about the lives of these daring men. Men like these paved the way for others to be able to make a similar voyage. I thank the author who did an outstanding job with all of his research. By the time I finished the book, I felt like I had been on this journey with them and I was near tears when Shackleton and his men finally make their way into the Whaling village. Thank you for writing the story of these great men. Shackleton’s story is a testament of what great leadership is all about and the lives of these men should never be forgotten.

Amazing tale of human courage. Slow at first but stick with it.

Adventure. An adventure worth reading about but one I would not want to share.

Endurance — Shackleton’s Incredible Voyage. This quote from the first chapter sets the stage for the book. “Thus their plight was naked and terrifying in its simplicity. If they were to get out—they had to get themselves out.” The title of the book and The above Excerpt From Endurance by Alfred Lansing, are only hints to what the captain and crew of the Endurance accomplished. This is not a motivational book by intent. When life, however, seems to be dishing out a seemingly overwhelming quantity of challenges one immediately followed by another. My thoughts go immediately to the true story contained in this book and the quote above. I recommend this book to others often.

Terrific book. This is a Beautifully written tale of the adventures of Shackleton and his men. It is one of the very best stories anyone could read. Magnificent. These were tough, stiff upper lip Englishmen. Tough and resourceful.
