What's in a Pupil Barrister?... Everything (Amazing Story). Gen is trying to gain tenancy, and her test is to win the most difficult case the law firm is handling, while trying to make sure that her mother is well cared for after her stroke. She has a brilliant mind, but will it be enough? Arthur is fighting his brother over the family’s Earldom, trying hard not to fall in love with Gen, and keep his other job “under wraps”. He’s a notorious playboy, wastrel on the outside, but so much more on the inside! Blair is an amazing author and always keeps you on the edge of your seat with the twists and turns, the unbelievable suspense and hot (and sometimes kinky) love scenes. She is a master at developing characters, making you believe there is no way that the story will end well, then BAM a new twist to put you back on the edge of your seat waiting to see what will happen next. It’s awesome that she weaves the characters from other series into each story for more depth. As always, she leaves you wanting more. Arthur and Gen’s story is no different. Blair had me laughing at some of the outrageous things that happened, scared to death for the next person’s safety, crying over what might have been, and loving all of the hot romance. I can’t wait to see what adventures she will have in store for us in Flicka’s story! I received a copy of this story in exchange for an honest review, but also purchased this book.

Excellent read. Second in this story line. Throughly enjoyed this read, I wondered how it could possibly work. There is suspense, romance and a good amount of steam. As always, Ms. Babylon does not disappoint. Well worth the time spent. I would however start with the first book "Stiff Drink".

Great finish!. Review Excellent finish to the Arthur Duet and a terrific chapter in the Runaway Billionaires by Blair Babylon. Gen and Arthur's story continues in this book with tense, emotional scenes, fun, loving banter, and heartbreaking love scenes. I could not stop reading. I had to know how their story would end. As a reader, I was, of course, pulling for that HEA, but at times it seemed so heartbreakingly hopeless to expect the fairytale ending. I love the way Babylon gives us little glimpses of characters we have loved from her other books and series. It seems like touching base with old friends. Congratulations Ms Babylon on another wonderful story for us to enjoy! Unbiased opinion, freely given, after reading an advance copy.

Awesome!. Another great story by Blair. Loved the true friendship that Arthur has with Casimir & Maxence. They were there for him whenever he needed. The love between Arthur & Gen that showed the length they would go for the other. There were some unexpected turns as well. Loved it as I have of all Blair's books.

What a rollercoaster of a ride!. Hard Liquor, the follow up to Stiff Drink, is quite the ride! It offers great characters, good drama, awesome sex, and unexpected plot twists. There’s something about Arthur and Gen.... These books draw me back to them again and again. Great story, complicated characters, and steamy encounters.

Another great story. I received as an ARC. This was a great end for Arthur and Gen. Well written and all the ups and downs that keep the story moving and wanting just a few more hours to read, because you want to find out how it ends.

You MUST buy this 3 book series!!!!. This book is absolutely bloody brilliant! I have read every single work by author Blair Babylon and I always end up thinking that her current book is my absolute favorite when I make it to the final page of the story. Ms. Babylon is truly a phenomenal writer, able to weave a tale with such vivid word choice and imagery that I truly feel like I am right there among the heat and action. As with each previous novel or short story of hers that I have completed reading, I now find myself impatiently waiting for her next book to be released. Every time I get my hands on a new release of hers, I completely devour every word and every page of the story. Now I am left emotionally spent, yet happy, having to wait who knows how long until I receive my next Blair Babylon fix. Arthur and Gen's story is chock full of all of the components that make the author's stories so addictive: endearing lead and secondary characters that are never fully as they initially seem; loin melting, panty dropping sexual chemistry; enough twists, turns and valleys in the plot to keep the most ardent "whodunit" fans guessing right up to the end; and my favorite, the reappearance of previous characters that add a richness to the story that newly introduced characters just never could develop. My only wish (and this is petty) was that Casimir would have brought Roxanne with him to the wedding. She was sorely missed in this book, especially since Casimir played such a major role in the story. Every other aspect of the book was P.E.R.F.E.C.T!!! (There are not many published books that I would say this about!) I can't wait to read Max's story. I can only begin to imagine the different ways that Blair Babylon will twist his story and blow my mind. I'm absolutely giddy in anticipation! I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Read Copy of this book. Loved it so much, so I bought it as well!

OMG – this is hot and suspenseful and wonderful!!. Hard Liquor is the conclusion to Stiff Drink and what fantastic stories they both are! In Hard Liquor Blair Babylon managed to keep me on the edge of my seat throughout nearly the entire book. I’m really not sure I know how to review this without giving anything away – which I won’t do. At times it seems like there is no hope at all – for Gen and Arthur’s relationship, for Arthur to win the lawsuit his brother has brought against him, for Gen to gain the offer for tenancy she so desperately needs to pay for her mother’s care. Blair Babylon has once again managed to craft a story that has very funny moments, heart-breaking sad moments and an HEA that I was sure couldn’t happen (except that I know Blair always manages to give us one – eventually). For those who love a story with lots of detail and complicated characters, Hard Liquor is just that; it is definitely not a quick read. It is, however, a very satisfying and wonderful conclusion to Arthur and Gen’s story. I’d also better mention that it is also H-O-T, hot!!! The sexy time between Arthur (he’s a bit kinky) and Gen may make you blush! Blair Babylon will never be able to write fast enough to satisfy my thirst for new books by her. It’s a good thing there are other great indie authors out there to help keep me occupied until the next one is ready.

Sexy, Hot, and Exciting read !!. As with the previous books in this series, I absolutely loved this story. We get the finale. This book takes us into their battle for Arthur's Earldom. Gen also begins to trust Arthur more in all things including the bedroom. It's up to Gen to save her man can she do it? Sexy, Hot, and Exciting read !! Can't wait to see who is next.

Fantastic book!. I Loved this 2 book series! After the first book "Stiff Drink", I couldn't wait for the rest of the story in "Hard Liquor ". You definitely want to read that one first. It was great to have Caz from "Working Stiff" and Max back in the action. (I hope Max's story is next and if you didn't read Working Stiff that's a great read too!) Gen and Arthur are really great together in this story. If you don't like steamy sex mixed in don't read Blair's books. But if you enjoy a really great story with twists and turns and vivid descriptions and details along with the spicy, hot romance, you will love this author. She has a way of making the characters come alive. And the detail she goes into when describing everything makes you feel like your watching a movie. She's one of the best I've read when it comes to "painting a picture" in your mind. I also learn about new things every time I read one of her books. I read this book within 24 hours just like I did with Stiff Drink. I couldn't put it down. Enjoy the read!

Both books are winners. As always with this author, the story is great, characters are wonderful, and writing is solid. I've read each of her books and never been disappointed and there is never the same book- only cross-over characters:)

Runaway Billionaires: Arthur & Gen WOW!!. Stiff Drink & Hard Liquor... If you enjoy page turning books with great characters, good plot twists and spicy sex this is a MUST READ!! This 2-book HEA swept me in and kept me turning the pages until I finished the book all in one setting! The characters were well developed, they invoked feelings of all varieties, and the descriptive text made me feel I was at those billionaires parties too! I’ve read another multi-book story (Flicka) in this series and it was was a great read also. There are carryover characters between the books and varying plots but you didn’t need to read one before the other. I love this author because she knows how to weave a great plot with interesting intelligent characters and spicy sex scenes that makes you want to continue reading until the end. I would also like to add that her editor is terrific and I appreciate the “no typos” flow to her books.

More than anything, we long to experience the pure and living creation that is well written and heart imbued hope in the form of words breathed into the universe that will eventually find its way in our very soul. Readers can breathe a sigh of contentment and relief to ingest and savor the incredibly soul nourishing and heart transforming words from this spectacular author. I have yet to read anything from her that doesn’t touch me deeply and sincerely every time I pick up one of her breathtaking masterpieces.

The best yet from Blair Babylon!. Passion, intrigue, passion, suspense, passion, love, friends, loyalty. Do you sense a theme? The continued story of Arthur Finch-Hatten and Gen comes to a conclusion that is satisfying and makes your heart feel good. A must read.

Loved it!. I absolutely loved this book series. Once I started I couldn't put it down, a definite page turner. I would recommend this to anyone who loves a strong couple who face challenges!

Good story, poor attention to detail.. As always with this author I enjoy the “love story” element but am frustrated by the lack of research for the setting and other story elements. This book is based in England with a main character who is English but the language he uses is a mish mash of different English accents. In some cases it’s completely laughable and one term used in this book has been spelled as it sounds not as it is spelled. The view of English attitudes is very American and rather comical.

Arthur and Gen. I love this series so much. After Cash and Rox comes Arthur and Gen. what a lovely story of espionage and drunken trouble and a pupillage barrister, but it only shows how one can be so wrong reading between the lines..... so lovely how a man who never fall in love finally succumbs and who will sacrifice anything, for country and for love. I could not possibly wait for Maxence's story line. I hope it will out sooner rather than later.

Kazza. This is the conclusion to stiff drink that you should read first so you know what the story is about. In this book it brings it all together. There is quite a few twist and turns that definitely going to keep You turning the pages right to the end of the book.

One of my favourites!. Absolutely love all of Blair’s billionaires and rockstars books! Can’t wait for more!

Hard Liquor is required!!. This second part of the tale of Arthur and Genevieve takes the reader on such a rollercoaster of emotions, one is in need of a drink of hard liquor. After having read all of Blair's books and found myself being drawn so deeply into each tale, I have to say that this story has raised the bar even higher. I did not want the story to end...(sigh).
