Romantic and hilarious but paced a little oddly. This was an intriguing plot. I really loved the idea of how Kimbra blackmailed Duncan but I expected more resistance and a bigger buildup. Instead of a slow burn, it was more like a lit match on gasoline. The sex scenes were HOT. However, I feel like the story was left a little neglected and it was obvious from the get go how it was going to end and the climax was so early in the book that the rest felt like unnecessary filler. It was a cute story and the funny parts had me laughing out loud. Overall, not a bad story, but the pace was a little off.

Plus One--5 Stars. Absolutely loved the lighter side of Aleatha!! Fast paced, funny and sexy. Duncan and Kimbra were fun and very entertaining. Shana needs a sequel as do Duncan and Kimbra. This was so good. I can't wait to see what is next from Aleatha Romig!!!

The Lighter Side. I'll start by saying that I am a HUGE fan of Aleatha's darker side... In fact, the darker the better! I love her twists and turns and the mayhem that it all causes. So when she announced a "lighter side", I was skeptical. Still, being a fan of all things Aleatha, I jumped in. And let me just say... WOW! Yes, I love those twists and turns, but it was SO NICE to read and just RELAX!!! Not once did I clutch my chest as my heart beat out of control due to anxiety. Not once did I fear for the lives of the main characters. Not once did I slam my eReader down and scream profanities. Now don't get me wrong... I still LOVE her darker side and can't wait for the next heart pounder to be released... But until then, this was a nice reprieve.

Smiled the whole time!. This book was so great! The characters were all so endearing, the storyline was fun and well thought out and many great laughs. Oh and plenty of steamy, sexy scenes as well. Very well balanced. I loved it and had a hard time putting it down! This was one of those books where you walk away smiling and satisfied. Just love it!

HIlarious and HOT Romcom. I have read all of Aleatha’s books and I have loved every single one. Plus One, though very different from her other books which have a mysterious side, was no exception! It was a down to earth, quick read and sweet romantic comedy. It was absolutely hysterical, even had me literally laughing out loud at work (when I shouldn’t have been reading), and it was sinfully hot! Loved every second of Kimbra and Duncan’s story and cannot wait to read more from the lighter side of Aleatha!

Fun. Aleatha Romig is known for her darker side. However, her writing is not limited to thrillers as she demonstrated in the rom com Plus One. It is fun, sexy and will keep you laughing. I laughed so hard I cried. Plus One by Leatha, the lighter side of Aleatha is a must read. Aleatha is a master with any genre she writes- her talent has no limits. Her stories and characters always have multiple layers which are slowly peeled back. Aleatha doesn’t give you characters but new friends who will continue to live in your heart even when the story is over. Her hero and heroine along with all the supporting bring the story alive with the quick wit throughout the book. Kimbra is living her dream—in the big city with a job she loves. She refuses to be burned again but she has a little problem of not having a date to her cousin’s wedding. Duncan is one of the owners where she works—hot, sexy and rich. He has a reputation of love and leave them—seizing opportunities when they are presented. Together Duncan and Kimbra will discover things are not always as they appear—hurt, dreams and desire live in all of us. I highly recommend Plus One- it will keep you laughing while falling for your next book boyfriend, Duncan

Plus One. First time reading this author. This could have been a really good, humorous love story. Instead, it was more sex and overly descriptive. There could have been a return of Duncan’s first love and a resolution concerning Carla’s accusation. But again, the bedroom scenes took the book over.

Lighter side of the dark. Plus One shows us a different side to Aleatha Romig, lighter, funny and I loved it. It would seem dark or light Ms. Romig can turn her hand to anything and do brilliantly. I loved both Kimbra and Duncan and together they were everything and more, Kimbra’s family were hilarious too. This was light, funny and hot. I got lost in the story it was so good I felt giddy reading it, don’t get me wrong it wasn’t sappy and mushy, it was sexy and everything I love. Hopeful if I ever need a plus one I could find my own Duncan Willis. It would seem Aleatha could write any genre and I’d love it, and the only thing I can think to say was, I didn’t want it to end, cant wait for more from the lighter side as this was an unexpected goodness from a favourite author of mine. I would recommend it to anyone who loves to read, it was an amazing story.

Hilarious. This was a new author to me. Wow, what a great book; I loved this from start to finish. This was an hilarious read, with many laugh out loud moments that had me almost in tears at times. Ms. Romig's characters came to life whilst I was reading this book. I loved the quirkiness and although at times annoying members of Kimbra's family; her grandmother Helen is such a hoot with her mother Judy not far behind. There was smoking hot romance, humour as well as edge of your seat tension as you wondered if their charade would be found out. Duncan is sexy and confident, the kind of man every woman notices and believe me not only has Kimbra noticed but all the women in her family have too. Until fate and a little blackmail brings Duncan and Kimbra together, neither of them are aware that the feelings they have for each other are reciprocated. Kimbra takes advantage of her knowledge to coerce Duncan into being her Plus One for her cousin's wedding; not knowing that he has had many fantasies about her since she went to work for his company 3 years ago. Duncan knows an opportunity when he sees one and jumps at the chance. What transpires is a “fantasy” weekend of epic proportions. However, what happens when they leave the family homestead and return to their “real” lives, will fantasy become their reality or will the dream burst? I believe that Aleatha Romig is known for her darker writing, but Plus One by Leatha, the lighter side of Aleatha, as she calls herself is certainly a book I highly recommend. It was an absolute pleasure to read and I will certainly be on the look out for more of Leatha.
