Good chemistry & suspense. Playing Pretend shows a very honest relationship between Caleb & Kadence. They are both pushing & pulling with each other & their internal feelings. Add in some bumps & other well formed characters & this is a story I can’t wait to continue reading.

Major cliffhanger???. This book barely starts the conflict before ending. It seemed like it would've been interesting, but ends in the most idiotic way possible. There's no real plot to this book. It's as if they split one book into multiple.

Playing Pretend by Tamsyn Bester. I really enjoyed this book. For someone that enjoys romantic novels with a hint of suspense and tension, this was it!! The moment Ms. Bester's main characters were on the same page, I wanted to see what would happen next. Definitely page turning. I even cried when he called her homeless and she kicked him out. Good for her!! Nobody gets to talk her that way and where does he come off?! I am really looking forward to finding out what happens next. Enjoyable read. Well written, keeps you intrigued and very sweet. There is a cliffhanger (not one that makes you frustrated, but leaves you with hope and a smile)but at least a lot of questions were answered. Totally recommend the read.

Playing Pretend.. Plays with the heartstrings!. Tamsyn Bester tugs at the heartstrings when she wrote the story of Caleb and Kadence. They have a past. A dark one. And when things feel like they have hit rock bottom, can Kadence turn to and trust the one man she had run from so long ago??? Can Caleb learn to trust women after being hurt by the ones he should trust the most. Can they repair each other's hearts and find love again in each other's arms!?

Ready for book 2. I read this book as part 1 of the complete series and I was pleasantly surprised. An easy read with a decent storyline that kept my attention. Kadence and Caleb's relationship is interesting to say the least. Lots of sexual tension going on but the added situation with the baby is a different angle. I hope to hear more of each characters back story as I read on. The overall story moves fast and for the most part gives just enough detail. A good weekend read.

Epic fail at inclusivity. Honestly the plot and writing itself was good that I would’ve kept reading which is why I almost added an extra star. But frankly I’m tired of authors inexcusably not knowing how to incorporate black characters into their books. The only black character in this book is a servant (driver), and then the only other second mention of him is “dark skinned giant.” It’s stupid and I’d rather authors just not include black characters at all if this is how they’re going to be pathetically written into a book. If it wasn’t for that I would definitely buy the full series but I’d rather not keep reading just to get irritated by more failed attempts at false “inclusivity”.

Playing Pretend. Author: Tamsyn Bester A book that once started, one cannot put down until last page. Loved the interaction between Caleb and Kendance. The chemistry and dramatic arguments between the two brings out their heartfelt feelings for each other and shown the combustible attraction between them. With them living together due to unforeseen circumstance, there is bound to plenty of steamy scenes and bantering to look forward to in the sequel from book one.

I loved it.. Tamsyn is an amazing author and this book is well written with a wonderful storyline. Kadence and Caleb are characters you quickly become invested in, wanting to know more about them and willing their relationship on. I can’t recommend this book highly enough and can’t wait to read the complete series.

Playing pretend book 1.. Usually it takes a little while to get into the books, to feel like you know the characters, but this book I was able to feel I know them instantly! Loved it! Can't wait to read the series!

Her family background is wealthy however she has left changing her name and is trying to make it on her own on a shoe string budget .She manages to get a job after numerous applications have been rejected in a company that is owned by a man who had given her her first kiss and who walked away after the kiss . The story is interesting and I definitely would like to read the complete series

Playing Pretend by Tamsyn Bestar (iBooks). I am thoroughly enjoying this book so far. You can't help but instantly like the characters and then like them more with each chapter. Kadence is smart, independent and a little sassy so holds her own when the going gets tough or Caleb becomes overbearing and arrogant. I am however, not fully convinced that Caleb is in love with Kadence after the first book. On looking forward to being convinced in the next book.
