In a society driven by celebutante news and myspace profiles, women of class, style and charm are hard to come by. The Audrey and Katharines of the world continue to lose their luster as thongs, rehab and outrageous behavior burn up the daily headlines. But, despite appearances, guys still want a girl they can take home to their mom, employers still like to see a tailored suit and peers still respect classy conduct. So is it possible to maintain old fashioned virtues in a modern world without looking like a starchy Amish grandma? Christy shows women how in this guide to glamorous style, professional success and true love...the classy way.

Full of fun assignments, notable names and real-life examples, Christy offers a new look at seemingly "old fashioned" advice. She covers diet, speech, work ethic, friends, relationships, manners, makeup, and fashionable yet modest clothing, showing modern ladies how they can be beautiful, intelligent and fun while retaining values and morals.

How to Be a Hepburn in a Hilton World - Jordan Christy Reviews

  • Absolutely Disgusting

I find it repulsing that this women would claim her book is trying to build up women's confidence, when she is just tearing other women down. She is telling a women how they should act, and its disgusting. She keeps focusing on "stupid women", and I'm sorry if you disagree, but I find that quite insulting because I'm not the "smartest" person in the world, but I still have self value, and think that any other girl should too no matter how smart they are. All the author does in this book is enforce how society thinks a women should act and tear down women for things they cant control. I'm disappointed in the author for writing a book like this, and I hope I'll never have to read another book like this again.

I'm surprised by all the rave reviews, honestly. The author focuses too much on "stupid girls" and why they're so awful. She should have just stuck to the positives of making good choices instead of ripping other women apart. Female-on-female bashing is a major problem in our society and I'm disappointed to see it as such a strong theme in her book. Judging people is not classy, Jordan Christy.

This book was a great and easy read. Well written and interesting I didn't want to put it down. Definitely a book all young women should read, and mothers so we don't forget how much of what we do influence those around us. I would definitely pick up this book and read it again. Audrey Hepburn is one of my role models. This book does her honor. Another great book about etiquette and Audrey's life is "What Would Audrey Do." :) Happy reading!

Such an amazing book with the advice one needs to hear from someone other than their mother. A must read for this generation before "class" is lost.
  • A Little too Much?

Although the overall message is a positive one, Jordan Christy might be taking it too far. The examples are endless as are the comparisons. Instead of talking about the points for so long, it would have been better to have more points. Christy is also very critical of what she calls "stupid girls." She tears down the female sex almost as much as she builds it up.
  • Very cute book!

This would be a great read for a young teen, all kinds of helpful advice and encouragement not to follow the crowed and how to be a classy respected young woman. I'm 21 so most of this stuff I've already figured out but it was still a humorous and entertaining read! I finished it in a couple of days. Definitely recommend it!
  • Reminder on class

Good reminder on how to stay a classy lady. Book gets a little slow toward the end. But a fun gift to give to single girlfriends
