Excellent book with….. drama , violence, love lost and found. Who knew the Brits had such depressing and outrageous lives. As with …Good News…multiple story lines twist and connect with a satisfying closure. Characters you like, love or despise. Brodie slogs along and fits it all together.

What a rare and wonderful novel. Great story lines and terrific characters dwell in this novel. Terrible crimes and a dry sense of humor are seamlessly woven together in such a way as to make this novel really worth the trip. A very gifted writer is at the wheel!

Didn't do it for me. The story jumps around too much for me. The author goes off into meaningless detail too often for my taste.

Case Histories. I couldn’t put it down, and was on the edge of my seat waiting for the next bend in the road. I’m hooked on her writing style, and clever plot twists and turns. I’ll be reading all of her books. Thank you Kate.

The structure of this book was confusing. There were too many “characters “ t. Too many names popped up so we don’t know if they were brought up before and we’ve forgotten them, some names have brief useless backstories given. We never are told who what when where why Laura was killed, why Brodies sisters death was not investigated, … the book felt very disjointed and choppy.

Ugh. This book couldn’t end fast enough.

Case Histories is a great vacation read. Several mysteries (a missing child, a randomly murdered young woman, another woman who continually changes identities) all come together in a mostly satisfying read by a compelling author. I wasn't ready for the end, but maybe I'll find closure in the next book starring private detective Jackson. Can't wait to see what Jackson will be up to then.

A surprisingly good journey. Distinctive style. Very good writing & good characterizations (I would like to know Jackson). Plot a little far reaching but always engaging —- themes a tad heavy at times but also surprisingly tender & funny at others.

Excessively wordy. Too. Many. Words. This book would be 1/4 of its length if you cut out all the overly verbose, endlessly running-on sentences.

Absolutely fantastic. Case Histories is one of those rare books (think Stieg Larsson Trilogy, Tana French's series) where giving a five star review is so beneath the level of brilliance, it seems unfair. This is truly a masterful work.
