Finally, her story.. These guys are my favorite authors, and I've been wondering about Pendergast's wife since Relic, so I was excited to finally get her story. I had high expectations and this book didn't disappoint. Loved it!

Excellent!. Having Captain Hayward take a more active role in the "Pendergastian" method of investigating the brutal murder of Special Agent Pendergast's wife, was absolutely brilliant!

Savor the moment. I am intending to savor this book more than usual. It seems we get a great book L.C. and D.P. each summer. I usually don't put the book down, because I can't, for two days I am glued to the book... and then it's done. Well this time I'm pacing myself to extend the enjoyment. I just finished the first two chapters. So far it's quite good. Pendergast is in Africa with his wife of 2 years. I really enjoy their genre. The mystery and excitement are such good fun. This would make a great summer read. This is the first Preston and Child's book I have read in the "e" format. Gotta love the iPad. I am privileged to be one of the first reviewers. Enjoy! M. Filosi

Fever Dream. I enjoyed this book very much. The characters were interesting and I found myself caring what would become of them. I've read other books by these authors, but this is the first time I've met Agent Pendergast. He is still mysterious and I want to know more about him and his ward, Constance Greene. I will certainly be reading the next two in the series.

Great series. The books by Douglas Preston and Lincoln child are all amazing even the ones that aren't apart of the pendegast series I've read almost of their books I recommend you do too

Terrible. This Sherlock Holmes/ Watson attempt fails miserably. No real ability to see where - physically and literally the plot was going. The most disturbing part is the sexist treatment of the female character!!! Making her completely helpless and an object of sexual stimulus. Shameful!!

Fever Dream. This was the first book of his I have read and had no idea it srt of a "to be continued book". Very good and intriguing. Left reader a bit hanging, which I hated! I want to read the end. I will definitely read another of their books.

Never a dull moment. Creative way Child connect history with the present. I wondered how much was factual and how much was fiction. Didn't matter as the story was a great read.

Prepare to be captured by these writers. I have read every book written by these authors and continue to turn my friends and strangers on to their novels. Prepare to be held captive by these authors for many hours!

Good. I thought this book was very good but I was expecting it to be more like their other books with monsters and evil.

Wow. I never miss a L&C novel and I am glad I didn't make this book an exception. Fever Dreams is the classic page turner...the authors have clearly outdone themselves. It's the rare book that is so exciting and well crafted that you find yourself overcome with the thrill of the story. I would rate this as the frontrunner in the amazing series of Pendergast novels. From the beginning back story of special agent Pendergast's wife, to the end with the framing of continued mystery, this book grabs you hard and doesn't let up. This book doesn't let up, not once, and stays at top speed throughout. Read it and enjoy.

Fever Dream. By boysmumas Excellent. I can't seem to read enough of Pendergast novels. Will go on to the next one hoping it's as terrific as this book.
