Fab!!!!. I love this book!! I couldn't put it down but I'm like that with all his books pretty much. He is an amazing writing. I hated reading before I picked up one of his books now I absolutely enjoy it and this book is one of his BEST!!!

A must read!. It normally takes me a long time to read books, and not because I'm a slow reader but because I am so busy! It took me a little over a week to read this book because I rarely wanted to put it down! I could relate to many of the things Nicholas Sparks has gone through, and this book is a great inspiration to me! If you haven't read this book, I recommend you read it immediately. The trips that he and his brother go on, along with the descriptions, and the relation to his childhood life, make this a very interesting and eye opening book!

Nick's Back Story. I first came across Nicholas Sparks several years ago when I read "The Notebook". I truly enjoyed his writing. My little sister gave me this book. We came from a family of two brothers and one sister. Our Mom and Dad have also both passed from cancer. We are blessed that we all love each love each other. We do miss our parents everyday, but we look forward to seeing them again someday in heaven. We also lived in California as kids. So I related to some of his story. It was a very good book regardless of any similarities. I have also recommended this book to a dear friend who has been working with an autistic child. Thanks so much for a terrific novel!

Look into the past. This should be the first Nicholas Sparks book that anyone should read. It gives in sight into his first couple books and the real life situations that they were based on. You will come to realize that his books aren't just fiction, but have a worm hole into his past and present life.

Good book. I loved it!!

Loved it. I gave this book to my husband and his brother for father's day one year. They read it simultaneously and both laughed and cried. I read it and now understand the brother bond so much better. Great read with love, laughter, tragedy and adventure. What more could you ask of a book!

Very inspiring read. My 14 year old son read this as an 8th grade English assignment and encouraged me to read it. As a busy Mom, I wondered how I would make the time to do so, and I'm so glad I did! Aside from an interesting travelogue, I most enjoyed the life lessons that the author relayed in a very heartwarming, folksy manner. I have taken time to reevaluate my own family relationships and priorities because of his book. I thoroughly recommend this!

Such a powerful read. Read this novel in high school. My English teacher gave us a list of books to pick from and I'm so glad that I picked this one. Such a powerful book, of their lives. Reading that they were the only survivors of their family is such a hard pill to swallow. Great read.

Three weeks with my brother. I am compelled to go on a vaction with my younger brother. It may not be right away but it will happen in our lifetime. I love this book, so inspiring

Love it. I never understood why all Nicholas sparks books were so sad and someone always died or had a huge heartbreak. But after reading three weeks with my brother I understood. Nicholas writes from his heart and that's why all his books is just....amazing. I can't express how much I enjoy reading his books and learning more and more. I just can't put the books down. I read all his books and am waiting for the new one that will come out in October. Can't wait. I am sorry for all grammar mistakes, English is not my first language.

Great book to start with out of the collection. This was the very first NS book I ever picked up. It was 08/09 and of course I had seen many of the movies that had been made from his books but had absolutely no idea who he was. It was a good first read. I felt I really got to know the author. And it really made me want to read his other books. I was hooked. And now consider myself a huge fan.

5 star. Great read! Inspires me to slow down and make time for adventures with my siblings. Life is short and time is precious.

Best book ever. This book is the best i've ever read. It's not just about 2 brothers but about life and childhood and sacrifices that everyone deals with. Even if your childhood and life is completely different than nicholas and michas it doesn't matter you'll still be able to relate and bond with these people and best of all they are people not characters.
