My Girls Love It. For a few years, I tossed around the idea of reading this children's fantasy novel and finally took the plunge after hearing a speaker at our fellowship talk about it last month. Fiction is not my cup of tea, but if there is anyone who could give me a taste for it, C.S. Lewis would be the one. Several years ago I read Lewis' classic, Mere Christianity, and I have had a growing interest in reading his fictional piece, The Screwtape Letters. I decided to read roughly a chapter a night to my girls who have seen both the BBC and Disney versions of the movie. It was a little difficult for Grace, my four-year-old, to always follow the story, but Rose, my seven-year-old, enjoyed hearing about the secret land beyond the wardrobe. Upon completion of The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, both Rose and Grace have expressed on one more than one occasion their disappointment that I am not continuing on with Prince Caspian: The Return to Narnia, the second of seven books in The Chronicles of Narnia series. Although I do not plan on reading more fiction anytime soon, I think there is a good possibility we will continue these adventures in the land of Narnia one day.

I’m gonna cry. I did a play of Narnia and I was Lucy. Doors and Windows, Deep Magic, and Field of Flowers. Any time I sing one of those I wanna cry, but when I saw this book, not only did I want to cry, but I did. If anyone who did 2019’s Narnia at Act One, no matter what cast but especially my fellow cast 2 friends, you know how I feel. -Rosey

Always a favorite. This book is a wonderful mixture of reality and imagination, the whole feeling as you're reading it is like magic. The four Pevensies are very believable characters, and the creatures they meet in Narnia are both interesting and very creative on the part of the author. Read this book!

Amazing!!!!!. It is a classic work of literature. We read this one in school, then watched the movie. Both are incredible, and have a very Christian overall feeling to them. It is a very good lesson in courage.

My Favorite Book Ever!. I liked Lucy the best because she reminded be of my friend Taylor! I also liked Peter because he had a sward and shied, like me, and he looked like my friend Will. Classic and Inspiring Tale - A Must For All Children. The year 1950 saw the release of "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe", the first (in publication order) and most famous of a series of seven books called "The Chronicles of Narnia", C. S. Lewis's only books for children. This is the story of four children who step into wardrobe and discover a land called Narnia - a land under the tyrannical rule of Jadis, the "White Witch". Narnia's only hope is a Jesus Christ-inspired lion named Aslan - who sacrifices himself in a scene famously inspired by the death of Jesus Christ (this inspiration is no coincidence given that Lewis was a devout Christian). All of this adds up to a beloved children's classic - one that is a definite must-read for children of all ages.

When doth the Narwhal baconith?. Its a good book, but its too expensive, I was hoping to get it on my iPad for less, guess I'll just have to read the actual book.

An Incredible Journey. If you seriously haven't read this book for yourself or your kids than you need to take the time and do it now. It is an story that should be promoted more often I think. Get it now and enjoy it with your kids. It inspired a lot of the children's stories we read today!

The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. I gave The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe three stars. One star for detail, one for creativity, one for setting and one for characters. I thought there was a lot of interesting detail but most of it was just rambling about characteristics. The creativity was amazing, I loved how C.S Lewis was so imaginative with characters. The setting, how can you come up with a whole new world with a never ending winter with no Christmas. The characters where so amazing. I love how every character had a completely different personality and none were the same. Lucy, a young girl in a family living with The Professor, finds her way to the land of Narnia. She meets a Faun who tells her about a never ending winter with no Christmas. She brings her family along to find that something isn't quite right.

Loving. I am loving the part about how they are determined to find the white witch or the queen and take over .Also Aslan was really helpful in this terminus or case

Best Book Ever!!!. I love this book! The whole series is awesome! The Magician’s Nephew is the book that gives some context to where the Witch comes from and where Aslan comes from and how the Lamp-post in the forest came to be, but you don‘t have to read it before this book.

Good book. I love this story

I get so emotional when reading it!. Everytime I read this novel it gives me back fuzzy childhood memories that make me all warm inside. It’s a classic for sure and it is the one book that makes me want to cry and laugh and smile. I just love everything about it and this book can be read at any age level. The whole series is touching in every way and will make you want to be a bird flying through the skies of Narnia!

A classic, a cherished memory from my youth. Just finished reading this to my 5 year old, and although the language is at times complex, she loved it as much as I hoped she would. There is a very real religious undercurrent, but this is lost on kids and they can enjoy it for it's fantastical, wonderful, immersive adventure.

Books are adventures. It’s really good! My favorite character is Aslan. As a kid, I always liked adventures. Every book is like an adventure for me. Books can take you anywhere you want to go.

Delightful Adventure!. I have both the hardbound original editions of the Narnia books with Pauline Baynes fun illustrations as well as audiobooks read by great British actors and actresses! Admittedly I love the audiobooks best! And I will often listen to them in the car! It’s too bad that they haven’t made movies out of some of what I consider to be the best books! I enjoyed the book, the horse and his boy, and I enjoyed the last book, the last battle. The very first one that CS Lewis wrote after he wrote the lion the witch and the wardrobe— The magicians nephew— is very good to read as it establishes how Narnia began and where the white witch came from.

Fantasy at its best. The Chronicles of Narnia were my first introduction to great fantasy. I first read them when I was ten and now I'm a teenager and I still read them over and over.

Great Novel!!. I give it five stars because I think that it is thrilling and suspenseful. However, the writing is written in lots of detail, which keeps the story from moving a long. The detail also didn't allow me to picture settings, characters, and scenes. The characters are all so creative and lovable. Overall, it is a clever and intriguing novel that I would recommend for anyone who enjoys action, fantasy, and fictional stories

A couple reasons why you should read this book. The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe is a book that many people should read.This is actually my third time reading it and I love it more every time.This is a very light hearted book about good beating evil. This book will warm your heart in seconds. It is a especially good book for children. The author isn't explicit during the battle scenes. He made the book adventurous and caring. There may be two chapters when you cry, but that's the best part. The book makes you feel like the character. When characters are brave you feel brave, when they are happy you feel happy. The book let's your imagination take flight.
