King of the Hill. Joe Hill is quickly becoming one of the best horror writers of our generation. While "Heart Shaped Box" was a great introductory novel from Mr. Hill, I felt that "Horns" is a more visionary emotional novel, and is just an overall great story. Joe's father better watch his back, there may be a new king In the horror/thriller castle.

Horns of a Dilemma. Horns is a misanthropic and cynical tale about human depravity. Hill writes like an edgier Stephen King, but without the grace and charm. If you're anti-Catholic, anti-Republican, and a little bit bitter, you'll probably love this book. Iggy's story is sometimes interesting and sometimes delightfully creepy. Otherwise it disappoints with its cynicism and left-of-center stereotypes.

Horns. This is my first read from Joe Hill, not counting "Throttle", co-penned with his dad. I Thoroughly enjoyed "Horns" and found it intriguing as well as entertaining. It was delightfully difficult to tell the good guys from the bad guys, and equally heartbreaking. This is a novel written with intelligence. Amidst the havoc and horror, the reader has to pay attention to details.

Great!. A great unforgettable read to follow Heart Shaped Box. Exciting, weird, and yet heartwarming!

Awesome!!. This book marks my introduction to Joe Hill, and it was fantastic! If only he hadn't inherited his father's father's love of insanely long and painfully and unnecessarily long descriptive narrative!

Horns. My least favorite - an unveiled attempt by the author to shove his political hatred of Republicans as well as his hatred of religion down the readers throat made me skip over most of the pages. If you must buy a book by this author, skip this one -- you won't get your moneys worth.

Garbage.... This book is an absolute piece of garbage. It makes no sense whatsoever and has, without a doubt, the least satisfying resolution of any book I've ever read. I can't begin to tell you what a monumental waste of my time and money this book was. Wow!

Stunning. Unbelievably dark and depraved. New American Gothic at its most sublime. Scary, creepy and wonderfully weird. You won't forget this morbid tale of love, evil, redemption and the Devil for a very long time. Read this one at your own risk and be prepared to have an amazingly disturbing adventure. Author Joe Hill is a chip off the old block (and if you don't know what that means, you haven't been paying attention) but he's his very own kind of chip. Papa must be proud.

The best book I've read in a long time. Over the past few weeks I've read about a dozen books from various 'scary' book lists. While Horns is not necessarily terrifying, it's the only book I've read out of the dozen in which I became completely absorbed. It's loaded with that special brand of suspense that keeps you burning through pages while simultaneously making you almost dread what you might read next. A kind of literary aversion/compulsion. This is the first experience I've had with Joe Hill's writing but it will not be the last. It's nice to find a relatively new author whose upcoming publications are worth serious anticipation.

Loved it. Great book. I don't care about the politics. It's fiction, great detail. Felt like i knew the characters! Keep it up!

Horns. This story is rather silly and at the same time it’s gruesome. While I love reading Joe Hill, I didn’t enjoy this one.

Angel & Devil. This is possibly the best book I’ve ever read. If not the best, it’s definitely in the top 10. I loved the plot twists and the biggest surprise at the end. I love Joe Hill’s writing! I loved it before I knew he was Stephen King’s son, and I told my friends about the new author who was amazing!

The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.. Well written. Good story. Love, murder, revenge, good & evil. Makes me question the good in evil.

Wow!. Joe Hill is the new face of horror! An amazing tale with twists and turns, and human depravity that you should see coming but you don't. Loved this book, could not put it down. He is a chip off the old block, I am paying attention, everyone should be!

One of the best novels.... That I have read in a long time. And I read a lot, daily. This book has it all; love, hate, envy, revenge, despair and hope. Plus much, much more. BTW, it is so good that I felt the need to write this review, my first.

Fascinating Meditation on Relationship Between Good and Evil. Novel's opening scene in which the main character Ig wakes up and discovers that he's grown horns was enough to pique my interest, and it only gets better from there. Hill has a lot of interesting things to say about the relationship between good and evil/God and Satan, and he portrays these ideas through a love story that's believable and heartfelt without ever becoming sappy. One of the best books I've read in the past several years.

Awesome. After I read Heart-Shaped Box I picked up this book with high expectations. I was not let down. I thought this was a great book. The only thing I didn't like was the random transitions it had. Like one second he would be at a bar in the 90s and then he would be at his grandmothers house present day

A Fun Read. Joe Hill's preview of this book (found at the end of Heart Shaped Box) inspired me to read Horns. His recollection of the band Kiss as a child paralleled my own. I also liked the devil theme and what the devil might do in the Horns novel. I enjoyed the transformation of the main character and rooted for him till the end.

Simply a great book!. I read Heart Shaped Box when it was released and was instantly a fan of Joe Hill. So I went into Horns with high expectations and was not let down. Very eerie but in a different way than his father. I enjoyed this book a lot and I can't imagine why anyone else wouldn't.

Worth the read.. Wish I could find more books like this. This one went a little to dark for me and a little to religious but it's still a good book.

Well written. I'm not a big reader. I like books I have a hard time getting more than half way through one that doesn't keep me going. This book, however, is one of the best books I've read in a long time. I can't put it down.

Repetitive. Great author but you end up hearing almost the same exact story from every character’s perspective, makes it hard to stay interested.

Can't put it down.. I love the this book and how the story of each of the characters progress. I can't help but to feel sorry for Ig, (I love this character). Is an excellent read. A++

Horns. Lots of fun reading Joe Hill's books. This is another great read.

Wonderfully Entertaining. Personally, I had my doubts that this book would be something I could get into...given its premise. Having not only finished, but essentially devoured this book, I can truthfully say I'm happy I gave 'Horns' a chance. The writing is smooth, which makes for easy, unobstructed reading. I would definitely recommend 'Horns' to any reader looking for a good read, and one that will hold your attention literally 'til the end! Five Stars baby!!
