City of fallen angels. It wasn’t as exciting as some of the other books in the series.

Not my favorite. Very slow moving compared to the first three. Felt more like a filler. There was some exciting parts, but you have to wade through a lot to get there. Well worth the struggle.

Amazing book!. I loved this book! Favorite series after the hunger games. I could not put it down. The ending I didn't like, but I can't wait to read the next one!

Chilling. The book was great. It made me stay up till midnight reading. I only stopped because my iPad died. The ending leaves you wanting more. I hope she writes another. This book will leave you breathless. Read it , read it , read it. You will love it!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know I did :) x 1,000

Worst book of the series!!!!. i totally loved this series, and then i read this book RUINED THE WHOLE SERIES, A FAILURE. i would recommend reading the FIRST THREE books which are OUTSTANDING. DO NOT READ THIS BOOK!!!!

Simon takes lead roll here. Not exactly my favorite book of the series so far, but still pretty fantastic. Simon really steals the lime light from Clary and Jace in this book, audiobook was hard to listen to, Simon's narrator had an accent that was hard to grasp onto, even half way in I never quite got used to it

AMAZING!!. If I had to describe the mortal instruments series in one word it would be WOW. It's so emotional. I almost cried at some parts because they were so sad. I almost cried with happiness and laughter too. I can't wait to read the next book!

***SPOILER***. Okay the book starts out a little slow but honestly it was overall pretty good. But not as amazing as the previous 3. Now that you know jace and clary aren't in that "I'm in love with you even though we are brother and sister" it isn't as.... How should I put it? Surprising. I mean it's pretty good but even still.. Oh and the whole Simon, maia, and Isabel love triangle didn't really work for me. I mean not one liked him before in the books, not even Clary, now he has girls throwing themselves at him. Espcially that 13 year old girl. You know until she's turned into a vampire. That was a small twist but a surprisingly good. I'm reAlly glad that Luke and Clarys mom finally got married. I've been waiting for that since book 1. The next book is very interesting too! Overall city of lost souls was a great book & worth 4 stars! Sorry not 5:( but that's my honest opinion

Love it. This is a really good book the only thing I do not like is that they will not speak to each other like they should they just kiss there problems away then get mad at each other later but other then that this is a really good book

Not the best book in the series. Clare definitely gives Twilight a run for it's money. Book four was too predictable and almost lost my interest to read book five. I liked the other books because they offered suspense and twists I didn't expect. Let's hope the next one is better.

Excellent Read!. I've read the Mortal Instruments series about 11 times. Each time I read it, I can never get enough. Cassandra Clare has me pulled into her books and its like I can never get out again. My mom always had to take the books out of my room each night, before I went to sleep, so I wouldn't start reading in the dark. My favorite book, I have to say, out of the five, would probably have to be the "City of Lost Souls". Clary really gets used to be a ShadowHunter and she and Jace are so romantic together, it breaks my heart to see Jace on the dark side. There is also a new side to Sebastian (A.K.A Jonathan Christopher Morgenstern) that wasn't introduced in the other four books before. Anyway, my point being, this is an awesome book with fine language and description by Cassandra Clare, the author, and I would suggest this series to my two daughters, 17-year-old Melissa and 14-year-old Isabella. :)

Excellent story. I really enjoyed this book. It was another great addition to the series. Fabulous characters. I can't wait to read the next book.

You're not serious?. I love Mortal Instruments! But this was the worst book in the series! I give all the others 5 stars but this one only gets 3. I honestly dont know what went wrong! But when u think of Jace...talk about hot

So Good!!!!!. It was so good, it kept me on the edge of my sit the whole time. Just when you think the end is going to be the of all the drama. But the way it end will have you crazy. Trust my it whole very cent.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED SERIES!!!!. These books are really well thought out! I have only read the 1st,2nd and part of the 3rd so I don't know everything that has happened yet, but I can tell you that they leave you wanting more! And I love how the next books always pick back up where they left off, but I am disappointed that Clary and Jace are siblings :( they are so cute!

DISSAPOINTED!. Ok, so i started reading the series and was loving it, but when i got to this book it got boring and too exagerated. I only finished reading it because i had already bought it. DO NOT READ IT! It could have been a great series of books with a lot of potential if she stopped earlier and not tried to extend it too much just to sell more books. To me the last ones dont even make sense, just too much crazy things going on.

Expecting More. The book is well written and exciting, as are all in this series. I just really think there needs to be another book!! Really! Why would you leave everything hanging at the end? Read this book and then hope for another.

Incredible. Anyone who loved HP or Twilight is bound to fall in love with Clary, Simon, Jace, and Isabelle. A great addition to The Mortal Instruments series!

Stupid. Here we go again. More of no one saying what they think. No one asking the questions want answers to. Another book with the same technique. Worst writer. Keep thinking it will be better. All you have is a bunch of people that don’t talk to each other. Then get in trouble because no one knows anything. One guy missing let’s not look for clary and ask and also let’s all go to the same place to look. Just examples of people that are supposed to be trained but are not. If she would have put throat against the knife it could have fixed it. None of these books makes sense. More of little red screwing everything up. She should been stripped of the blood or died off.

Okay this book was NOT IT. Okay, this book was so POINTLESS. There was ZERO character development and the ending was so bland and predictable. It’s such a shame because city of glass was AMAZING. Very sad:(

AWESOME!!. I read the sample of it and I loved it so much that u decided I wanted to know more about the Series. I ended up buys all the books and loving all of them- you can literally fall inlove with the characters and I know I have. The story line is amazing and there are not any words to describe the way these books have changed me
