Book 2. Amazing book! Especially the last half! I cannot wait to read the third book.

Good follow up, but.... Good follow up to The Eye of the World, but not as epic of an ending. This definitely felt like a sequel, but a very good sequel. I read the book while listening to the audio book at the same time; I found it to be quite entertaining, when I wasn't accidentally falling asleep, and missing large chunks of pages, and then having to go back and rewind the audio to before I fell asleep. Otherwise I enjoyed reading and listening at the same time, because I absorbed more of the story and felt as if I was more involved with characters. To cap off my review: I think the sounding of the Horn of Valere was cool and that it definitely made the book, but I wanted more from the Dragon Reborn, I guess my only choice now is to read The Dragon Reborn! :)

I wish I had never read this book, so I could discover in another Age.. When you finish this book, you will regret the fact you didn’t get to live in one of these great fantasy worlds. Rober Jordan masterfully touches that inner part of your soul that has always creaved more than we get in our reality.

Great read. Great read. Highly recommended.

Has character. The characters are rich and the narrative compelling. The storyline felt a bit “wandering” though at times. Perhaps it resolves itself in later books but it seems as if characters would appear, develop for a while and then disappear without a trace. I will have to read more to say more though, which I’m sure, is what the author intended and the hallmark of a good writer. A worthy read.

Good reading. But Rand has got to be one of the dumbest people ever. After everything he still won’t believe.

Sooooo good.. The best book series I’ve ever read and this is my third time reading it.

Wow!. The Great Hunt was a fantastic read! With each turn of the page,I sped deeper and deeper into this amazing tale! By the time I got to the end, I literally had goosebumps! Now to begin The Dragon Reborn!

Good Overall. There were several glitches that didn’t allow me to highlight/make notations on the first line of some pages. When I tried to select a word, the page would jump to halfway between the last page and the page I was on and freeze until I went to the next page, if that makes sense. Not a huge deal, but kind of annoying. Also, I don’t like that I’m not able to zoom in on the maps to get a better look and that sometimes when I search for a word, the results don’t give me every instance it appears in the book, oftentimes including its presence in the glossary. Other than those problems with the digital book, the book itself was amazing! What got me interested in this series in the first place was a comment I read on Reddit years ago. It went something like, “I envy those reading and experiencing the magic of the series for the first time. Even re-reading the series, one never quite attains the exhilaration felt the first time around.” I would imagine it’s like getting high; it’s never quite as good as the first time.

A worthy sequel, with improved storytelling. The original volume ("Eye of the World") is interesting, but lacking in the overall storytelling arrangements and in character development. This second volume much improves the storytelling, primarily by regularly switching points of view but occasionally also by "showing" where the first volume would be "telling". The increase in story pace doesn't hurt either (although I didn't mind the pace in the first book). I think the characters still lack depth, but I'm hoping that will improve in the following books. In any case, the story is now strong enough to go on...

A great sequel. Robert Jordan does it again with his unique word-smithing! I was totally entwined with this book from start to finish. Jordan has a great pacing to his books that leads to a satisfactory conclusion!

Great port!!. I also have a lot of this series on eReader (at least, before they discontinued it at the eReader store), but on iBooks it looks perfect with the Retna Display! There have only been a few format mistakes (random numbers inserted in the text, and stuff like that), but I haven't seen an eBook without any at all. Most impressed with all the books that I have bought so far!! Bring the Shannara series by Terry Brooks, a Song of Ice and Fire by George R. R. Martin, and the Sword of Truth by Terry Goodkind!!! Please!!!!!

Book worth binging. A hard to put down read. One of the my enjoyable books I’ve read in ages.

Timeless Epic. I totally lost myself and the sense of time while engaged in reading this book. I just downloaded the next ( third in a series ) book and eager to join Rand and his companions on their continuing saga.

The great Hunt. The book seemed slow at first. Then the story grabbed you and didn't let you go until the book ended. The story is still going. Just bought the next book and will start reading it tomorrow. It is 0200 and I have to get to sleep now. At least try to.

Incredible. It’s so hard to find great, compelling, and relatively clean fantasy epics. This is it. Jordan’s story telling is world class, and I’m so grateful for this series!
