Stephen. I haven't read the other two imager books but like moddesit's other works it was another great engaging book. I would recommend it! His writing style is very descriptive and he always goes into detail on his characters, their careers, and makes them seem real.

Imager. The story drags you in quickly and holds you there. Watching the characters and the story universe develop has been both entertaining and educational. This promises to be a most engrossing series.

Imager. Modesitt does it again in this series. Captured my attention from ten first pages.

The Imager. This book is a nice read. The characters are well developed and the story moves along at a good pace - like you are hearing a good story from a friend.

I love this series!. If you haven't read all three of the Imager Portfolio, get them. You probably will be up late into the night just to see what happens next. Scholar, book 4, is due out later in 2011. I'm not even going to preview it, it will be an instant buy - the series is that good. I also have the unabridged audio versions of the three current books - also good! If you don't have time to read, then listen, but get this series into your ears or your hands and start your journey to Solidar.

Imager. It was a bit slow to begin with but wow great book! It’s one of those I kept picking up to read every chance I could.

Another universe to explore. First in a trilogy, Its nice easy read back to his old style of writing before the Soarer series. Once in the groove the book is hard to put down. Another universe to explore and another socio political parallel universe to expand on for later prequals- one already at this time. Buy the next 2 books immediately as they directly follow on - note to editor : this is not Tolkien you can publish the 3 together in one volume.

Awesome. I had such a blast reading this book! The characters building and world description were stellar!

Best new series. I found Imager to be a magnificent start to the best new series, that I have read in years. I liked it so much, that I read it from start to finish without sting the book down once.
