YAY!!!!. There is a Oliver Twist that is not in French!!!!!!

Have high hopes!. People are so mean to this poor boy! An overall good book.

Amazing wonderful book. How somebody could call this book boring I don’t know. It’s beautiful, thrilling, and whatever fool says it’s boring and a waste of time I don’t know. If I could chose one book in the whole world to save, I’d chose this one, and not miss any other one.

I LIKED IT.....KINDA. The beginning was delicious, amazing story, great time and place, and you can learn a lot, but the ending was very bland, it didn’t have much context

Amen!. Great book of goodness ,mercy and the kindness of Gods people. Lots of life lessons!

Oliver Twist. I love this book because it was very well written and I find that it's shows that not every kid has a home and family and I feel that alot of kids and teenagers take that for granted.

Oliver Twist. What a wonderful classic! This is the second time I've read Oliver Twist and it was as heart-warming this time as it was the first time I read it.

GREAT book!!!. I have read this book so many times it's that good of a book.

Oliver Twist. I am sorry it took me all these years to read this wonderful gem of a story about love and betrayal and broken dreams m, and hope beyond all reason. This is a great book. If you haven't read it I highly encourage you to do so. Excellent writing.

Understanding the World of Oliver Twist. Most people, at first glance, will turn up their noses at the thought of reading a novel written by one of the oldest, and most renowned, authors of our time, but as they say, you cannot judge a book by its cover. Without giving away the plot or contents of the book, Oliver Twist, by Charles Dickens, is a fantastic piece of literature, as it portrays realistic characters and worldly concepts that give the reader a sense of the reality Mr. Dickens lived in, in Victorian England, as a lad. It continuously grips the reader with anticipation and constantly gives us the opportunity of syncing with the characters' actions, thoughts and feelings. An outstanding work of art and an even better biography of the young lad, and main character, Oliver Twist.

Summary?. Will someone please write a summary of the book as one is not provided on iBooks?!

Oliver Twist forever!. Talk about a story for the ages! Knowing each character inside and out, I was like, “CHARLES!!! Why would you DO this to OLIVER!!!” Such a tale of light and darkness!

BORING. This is the most boring book I have ever read. I have to read it for honors English in high school every time I sit and say ok I am going to read one to two hundred pages I end up falling asleep with like twenty pages I don't recommend this book at all very boring confusing you never know who is talking and what is going on or where they are .😢

Oliver Twist. this book is amazing who ever wrote should write more books this is fantastic keep up the good work!! :)

A great story!. I really enjoyed reading this book and I was so glad that is was able to get it for free! I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good but yet challenging read.

Very good!!!. Well I thing it's a very good book and it's not in French! Yay and I from Brazil so I would love see books in portuguese here! Please 

Very good. This book too me more than 2 years to finish. I must say I became very attached to the characters and by the end I was almost in tears. Oliver Twist is a must read- even if takes a while. Some parts are hard to get through but when you get the dramatic last few chapters it is well worth it. One of Dickens' best in my opinion- but it's the only one I've actually finished. 😅😅

Eh. The only reason I read this book was because I had to for school. One of the most lengthiest and uninteresting books I've ever read, I wouldn't necessarily recommend to any teens because they most likely wouldn't be able to bare with it. But it was well written and I may have liked it better if it was split into at least two books. I didn't enjoy this book but it wasn't all that bad.

Ok. It was a little good but REALLY lengthy I wouldn't recommend it to a friend though

The Happiest Sad Tale. A classic. A tragedy. A horror. A love story. A fairytale. 'Oliver Twist' is the bleakest and brightest of tales. Charles Dickens weaves all of the elements for a gripping story into his book. What I love most, however, is Mr. Dickens' ability to paint a world, a character, a situation, a single sentiment with nothing but words. It was a treat and an education reading this book. The characters are vivid. They are awful and delightful. Throughout the reading are included words of wisdom--quotes which I paused to highlight. I will reread them time and again. I highly recommend this book to all story lovers. It is a masterpiece.

Good but difficult. I enjoyed the story, but the Old English made it difficult to understand at times, and required a higher level of concentration and detracted from the overall enjoyment of the book. I would have liked a slightly more modern version.

Intriguing. This book was extremely depressing throughout the book but I was enjoyed it nonetheless.

Oliver twist. This book is good

Great story. Very entertaining and sad but good book

Oliver Twist. Very well written and told I enjoyed it very much.

Try this!. This book might get so good you won't stop reading it! Try it!

Wonderful. I was in 6th grade when I first read it and have been in love with it since. One of my favorite books my Charles Dickens!

Good book. Good book

Horrible. I hated this book. It's not interesting at all and it sort of drags along at a lot of parts in the book. There's a lot of British slang and other words that don't make sense for cant be defined by the dictionary and its hard not to put this book down. This book is very long being 675 pages if u dnt include the 53 blank pages and 3 pages tht aren't a part of the story. Charles dickens has done better than this book. I think it's his worst.

Oliver Twist. If you haven't read this since high school, it's worth reading again as an adult.

What a surprise .... Never having read it in school, I decided to now read the "free" Dickens on my iPad. It's wonderful. And his masterful depiction of the separation of classes is timely still.

Oliver Twist. I lovely story deep in message and heart. A real joy reading at an earlier time. Makes one grateful to be.

Can't beat Dickens!. You just can 't beat Charles Dickens for a great read. This stuff is timeless, everyone knows this story but the book is so much more. Full of interesting quirky characters and dark humor, I loved it.

A must read. Oliver Twist is the book which should be read at least three times during the life time. Read it to your children, it will teach them of the kindest sides of humanity.

Good. A bit confusing at the language and time , as it being from a different tone period, but the end is satisfying!!!

Excellent Story!. A much better read than the story told in the movie! Dickens is the same wordy guy as always, but the clever twists of the story are worth wading through. I’d love to see a modern movie of this book made!

Oliver Twist. This novel is truly a classic! Dickens vividly draws his characters and describes their situations. Readers are drawn into Oliver's world and want to know what happens next. I loved the musical Oliver which is based on this book. The book is far better and deeper. Dickens wrote in the 19th century. For some readers, the character of Fagin will be offensive. Certainly, Dickens was accused of being an anti-Semite as a result of this depiction. Later in life, Dickens became friends with a Jewish couple who remonstrated with him over this character. Dickens removed some of the offensive language from later editions of this book. However, remember also that Dickens also was active in charities and decried the workhouses of the day. Look also for the humor and irony with which Dickens enlivened his work. I highly recommend this book. If you enjoyed this novel, try David Copperfield which Dickens also wrote. If you are in the mood for romance, try some works by Jane Austin. If you enjoy gentle humor, give Elizabeth Gaskell a try. Both ladies also wrote in the 19th century and Gaskell was a friend of Dickens. Happy reading!

oliver twist. a little slow in the begining but a very good read for people who like Charle's Dickens

Oliver Twist. Horrible book absolutely terrible I have never read anything as horrible as this it was a monumental waste of my time and I hope I never have the displeasure of reading this book again.

Abdul. this book is make me cry and hapy same time good story download it guys. <3

Willams books are wonderful. Yeah I think this book is very popular. I totally like reading books especially his books for children to read this is so good omg that’s why I gave you y’all a five star rating.... for the best books that you y’all doing and selling them to the world so kids and especially for teenagers for reading love stories that he wrote it’s all about Romance and doing movies that he created it for all people can read about or watching it on the movie theaters Spencer Heredia- Hicks

Very great story. Similar to Huckleberry Finn, Oliver Twist has great plot and characters all portraying the various classes and people of the time. Dickens does a very great job expressing the themes of poverty, nature v. Nurture, and portrayal of emotions from grief to affection. Definitely recommend to anyone. It’s a definite classic!

Great book. I was in 4th grade first time I read this book cause my mom made me and I've loved it ever sense.

Oliver twist. This book is a great story about a boy called Oliver twist who draws the long straw and has to ask for more gruel! Then he gets sold to a under taker and helps him but he runes away. To a pic pocket called feign ...

Sheer brilliance Mr Dickens!. Another classic by far the best author to grace the world of literature

real great. i reccommened this to 9+ great book xxxxx

Great book. The plot is amazing and there are lots of different characters which is interesting in their type. This book was very sad but the end was fine!

Oliver Twist. Poop poop poop poo story 💩💩💩💩💩💩

Poor quality version of a great Dickens classic. This is full of simple spelling or grammar mistakes. For example of when it should be on and a complete confusion where Oliver asks for more gruel.Avoid this version and find a better one.Not worth reading as cannot concentrate on a book with many mistakes.: (

Terrible. This book is horrific and terrible

Absolutely Godlike. Class :)

Oliver Twist. Wonderful book. Amazingly captivating storytelling. And captures what the film doesn’t, the sincere godliness and prayfulness of Oliver and Rose, reflecting that of Dickens himself.

Burns. Amazing!!!!!

Please sir, can we have some more?. Please sir, can we have some more? Victorian orphans don’t come any more heartrendingly plaintive and soulful than Oliver Twist. Or rogues as villainous and twisted to the core as Fagin and Sikes. Forget the antisemitism, Christian proselytizing and shaming of women. It’s 1838, not 2022. Top hats off, Darles Chickens.

Great!. I really like this book!

Great book. It's a great book nothing more nothing less.

Very cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!. This book is really enjoyable and fabulous to read. I have watch the movie and thats great too. I would give to anyone!!

Fab. Fab fab fab fab fab fab fab fan of it has anyone read it in one day I did

A great classic. What a great book

think you know the story? think again !. yes we all know the story, in its depiction through film and as good as they are, the original adds much more, suddenly things become clearer , the sounds sights and smells of Dickens' London fill your imagination to overflowing, you wonder why you had not actually read the story before, so very worthwhile, let's face it some people can really write,

Oliver Twist. A truly wonderful piece of English Literature. If you've watched the film/musical then you must read the book, it truly is a story that everyone should know!!

Dicken's Virgin!. Got your attention then! Never read Dicken's before but always wanted to. Wonderful writing, especially as he takes you through the journey in Fagin's mind at the end.

Oliver Twist. As a youngster I had never an interest in reading Dickens or a great number of books. the classics didn't entice. However having now reached beyond the age of 50, with the classics being free on iBooks, and having taken up a job involving commuting on the train, I thought I might just have a look. Day after day For a week I picked up the iPad at home, or iPhone on the train and carried on reading, first, Christmas Carol, and now Oliver Twist. For much of the early book it is a sadness as to how those who were not Born into a privileged existence, were ruthlessly of the lowest value to those who were. And how those in authority abused their positions dreadfully. However, despite these revelations, the book is a hugely satisfying marvel of a read. knowing what I would have missed if I had never read it, I feel thoroughly enriched to have done so now. I have a lot of reading to do...I will continue to explore the classics with interest - if you haven't yet, give it a go when you are ready. Charles Dickens ... Thank you so much.

Oliver twist. This book is AMAZ I've read the book 3 times so good I'm reading it the 4th time half way page 1432 that's how good it is .

Bad. Crap

Oliver Twist. It is a great book to read in your spear time!

This book is BORING. The words are too awesome for my ears so i can't read!? Please fix this glitch now!

Fantastic. Amazing piece of literature. A timeless classic that fully deserves the title.

Oliver Twist. One of the greatest stories ever told. The musical, though great, is less than half the story, and any who loved the former will delight in the latter. Nuff love to Dickens, respec is due.

Good read. This is a very good novel in many ways then one ( a must for novel lovers ) around the world

Ok?. I love it!

A good education on how the British think. Daring to evaluate an acknowledged classic is one thing, but I think it speaks volumes that Oliver Twist is revered as such. I don't doubt the skill with which Dickens slowly draws the reader into each chapter, nor the word-play which unfortunately gets confusing to a modern reader. I found it very handy having an e-reader that let me highlight and lookup definitions for words that have since fallen out of use, like "parochial". There just seems to be a few strange habits that a decent modern editor would have fixed. The strange treatment of time, where an hour is treated like a minute The obvious belief that a person is born to nobility regardless of their circumstances is hard to reconcile with Dickens' obvious cynicism of religion, yet he firmly states his Christianity at the end. Oliver could somehow read without anybody having taught him. All sin is treated as one collective descent into hell, rather than the multitude of temptations that plague even the most virtuous. Oliver is infallibly "good" without any moral guidance. After reading mainly modern fiction, the lack of first-person narrative makes the storytelling seem dull at first, but I eventually got used to the tone and tempo. It even gave me nightmares once. Overall, Oliver Twist is a decent read, and a good background to understanding English culture.

Oliver Twist. I wanted to read this classical book for a long time. Many times, people used Oliver's story as a reference for hope, honesty and nativity in front of greed. I found this book inspiring and culturally essential for youth and young adult who are looking for answers in any society in the wold. I grew up with French as a mother tongue and "Le petit prince" has been my inspiration to walk throughout live and the most precious thing I still looking for at 57 years old is friendship. I believe that my experience like any readers can say that books do not only entertain, they guide but authors in the other hand inspire through their words and stories. Jerome

masterpiece. awesome literature

Great Novel. I've always been fascinated by Charles Dickens. This book was one of my favorites. Now that I've reach my senior years And have more free time I plan on getting reacquainted with his work.

An adequate book. This book is very descriptive, and evokes a lot of emotions from the readers. Dickens had also added humor in the book to make it capture the attention of the readers. However, the lost the my interest at various times. It is overall a classic book worthwhile to read.

Oliver Twist best book ever. It is an amazing book
