Epic. There are some landmark moments in ones life. This brought back many memories of myself as a young 17 year old grappling for clarity and insight into his own sexuality. The mere mention of the title brings so many emotions back and tears to my eyes. I read this book in two days because I could not put it down. This book is worth a thousand reads.

Loved!. I’ve seen the movie first before knowing about the book. I’ve said it a million times before the books are ALWAYS BETTER then the movies. My bff an I love this book and can’t wait for the next!

Surprise!. This was the most surprising book I have ever read! I finished it two days ago and it is still in my mind. What a truly inspiring story of love, self discovery and insight. The story, verse and cadence of the narrative was enchanting. This was my first “romance” novel and I almost passed on it, usually not what I’m interested in. But, I have never been emotionally moved by a novel as much as this one. To love, forever and ever!

Call me by your name. Truly a good piece of literature. Makes you feel all sorts of emotions. The book is very well done. And well paced.

Takes me to Italy. This book makes me see light. Caiman’s vivid story telling pulls me into the story and it’s almost as if I am there in B.

Wordy but beautiful. Definitely not a read for the faint of heart, I felt smarter reading the whole thing, but with every complicated and refined word used I felt the absolute love leap off every page. This is one of the truest stories of first love and its truly a beautiful piece.

Amazing. This is a literary classic an absolute masterpiece of a book a must read I loved it.

Your heart will stop, tear in two, and skip a beat all in one part. Difficult to get through for a slow reader like me, but so worth reading. At times it can be hard to folllow and you may have to go back and re-read some parts to wrap your head around it but this novel is poetic, sentual, and most of all, memorable. "Call me by your name" truly shows how true love never dies and how it shows no bounds, especially when it comes to gender. It shows that true love between father and son also has no way of stopping, even if the choices your chid makes may not be what’s expected. It is complicated, heartbreaking and raw but sexual, life altering, and beautiful.

BREATHTAKING. Beautiful. This novel left me breathless from the vivid imagery to the passionate love story of two men. I couldn’t put it down! I finished it in two days.

Emotional. I’m a very emotional person but I like to keep those things to myself, but this book made me want to scream to the top of my lungs how I felt, at many points I felt my heart swell, it almost felt broken. The words in this book really made me feel what the characters felt, and the way Elio, Oliver and even the father are written just makes them not feel like fictional character. Definitely not a disappointing book, a must read if I say so myself.

Great love story but. The characters and the actual story are great. I think what I found a bit difficult was the fact that the book was separated into only 4 parts. It made it hard to comprehend at times what was really going on. However, the last part was the most interesting and most easy.

Beautifully written, but boring.. This book has some incredibly beautiful lines in it (I have so many highlighted). The only downfall is that it is very boring. The book relies on the tension between the two main characters but once that has dissipated, there’s not much substance.

OMG. Nothing best

Breathtaking. A heard someone say before there is a before and an after this book. Now that I’ve finished it, I can’t agree more. The movie had already left a heartache that took weeks to heal, but the book is as wonderful as painful to read. Elio and Oliver are now for me part of the classic lovers, equals to Romeo and Juliet and Tristan and Isolde.

movie to book. I bought this book after watching the movie because I loved it so much. It ripped me open and shattered my heart into bits but I still love it. And maybe because it’s kinda my story. I remember when I was 17, I met someone older than me and we had relationship even I already knew he’s married. The book has more than the movie. It made me cry just like the movie. I’m out of words.
