Summer Sisters. The overview of the book did not hint at the focus on preteen newly discovered sexuality. While the characters were interesting, I didn’t finish the book. If Blume can’t tell a story without relying on sexual innuendos, she should stop writing. So overdone...

Taboos. Sometimes the joys of life are the most taboo principles. Judy Blume writes books that are at the same time easy to read and deeply moving. I enjoyed her as a young adult and now as a middle aged (nearly) senior woman. Her story epitomizes our fears, our dreams, and even our realities. I recommend this book for any woman aged 12 to 112.

Great book. I read this book a few years back and have been wanting to reread it. Read it super fast I was so stuck on it. Highly recommend it

PLEASE CAN WE GET THIS ON AUDIO ITUNES!!!!!!!!!. This book is so wonderful!! I've been reading it in the summers for years! Judy Blume is so wonderful at capturing and playing out real life moments that EVERYONE can relate to!! Nearly every girl has a friend like Caitlin, that they had to deal with growing up! I've read nearly all Judy Blumes books as a kid, and now I'm a mom and am eager to start reading the books with my daughter!! Blume just has a way of taking a subject that is somewhat uncomfortable, but real, and just diving right into the heart of it, without pulling any punches! And thats how life is! So I think that's why she connects with her readers of all ages so well!! Read It!!!

MUST READ!!!!!. I'm fifteen years old and this book was absolutely amazing one of my top favorites. Especially if you have ever spent time on Martha's Vineyard!!!!

One of my favorites. This is one of my favorite books I loved it Judy Blume is such an incredible writer one of her bests couldn’t put it down at first I was like I’m not going to like this book and after like three chapter I was like wow this is an amazing book

Summer Sisters. Enjoyed this book, reminded me of things from my youth and old friendships.

The characters pull you in. I loved how the author told the story over life time events, it really made the whole story come to life and really pulled you into the story. I loved all the characters and liked how you got to hear from each character in the book, even the ones who didn’t play a big roll in the story plot. I loved Judy bloom books when I was a kid, but this was the first time I read one that she had wrote for adults and I have to say it kept me just as entertained as when I was a kid!

Mesmerizing. Have read it cover to cover at least 10 times and it still captivated me each time. A beach read must.

Ugh. Teenage, childish, and random. Would never have read if not for book club

Fascinating. My best friend read this book in a week while on vacation and that was quite something for her as she was not a reader and she was about 14 at the time. She passed it along to me and I breezed through it as well. It became "our" book and we both read it several times over the course of our teenage years. It's about time to read it once more as our lives have changed and we've drifted apart. This book holds a strong place in my heart. Highly recommended to anyone who is or has ever had a best girlfriend.

Summer Sister. I loved this novel and I honestly feel like I connected with all of the characters. It's a must read!!

I've reread this novel more than a dozen times!. Every year since my junior year in high school I've read this novel and every year I take something new away from it. I wish they'd make it into a movie. Do yourself a favour and read this book :)
