Quinn by Iris Johansen Book Summary

#1 New York Times bestselling author Iris Johansen explores the darkest corners of the human heart as forensic sculptor Eve Duncan closes in on the killer who stole her daughter so many years ago.

As a former Navy SEAL turned cop, Joe Quinn has seen the face of evil and knows just how deadly it can be. When he first met Eve Duncan, he never expected to fall in love with a woman whose life would be defined by her dual desires to bring home her missing daughter and discover the truth behind her disappearance---no matter how devastating. With the help of CIA agent Catherine Ling, they make a shocking discovery that sheds new light on young Bonnie's abduction and puts Quinn squarely in the crosshairs of danger. Eve's first love, John Gallo, a soldier supposedly killed in the line of duty, is very much alive---and very much a threat.

Emotionally charged, with one shock after another, Quinn reveals the electricity of Joe and Eve's first connection, and how they fell in love in the midst of haunting tragedy. As their search takes them deeper and deeper into a web of murder and madness, Joe and Eve must confront their most primal fears . . . and test their resolve to uncover the ultimate bone-chilling truth.

Couldn't put it down. I read this book in 2 days and was frustrated that I have to wait for the book Bonnie for the finally. I love the fact that it's all coming out for Eve. She's a great character and have enjoyed her story line. I loved the way the story has built up over the years and this book was no exception. You will enjoy this book.

Neverending. If you tire through the last two books like I did, trying to finally find resolution to who killed Bonnie, you will be disappointed. Even books in a series should give you something. Nothing there folks, move along.

Quinn. I loved the book. I finished it last night and I was only reading it for 2 days. Lot of questions unanswered. I can't wait to read Bonnie. I really hate to see the end of Eve, Quinn, Bonnie, and Jane. I love this series.

Exciting. I loved it! I can't wait until the next book. I hope that it's not the end of the Eve Duncan series. I love all of her characters, and enjoy the constant page turning excitement each book brings.

Quinn. The only reason this has four stars instead of five is the cliff hanger ending! So frustrating for me, but very successful in getting me to buy "Bonnie"

Boring and slow!!. I have read all the Bonnie & Eve books and this one has proven that you can write one too many!!! I found myself skipping pages and totally not missing anything!?

Loved it!. Can't wait for Bonnie to come out in October! If you haven't read Iris Johansen start with the book Eve and then move to this!

Awesome!. I LOVED finally getting the history with Quinn and Eve! Johansen did it again!

Frustrated with Quinn. There was a definite "filler" in the second half of this book that I skimmed to arrive at an unresolved ending. This seems to be a pattern with this author since Eve also ended unresolved. It seems that the author is more concerned with marketing her next book than telling a complete story. This is unfortunate since the characters are interesting.

Quinn. Awful!

Quinn. Last page had no conclusion... Left me hanging with no hint where to go. Book unfinished. Stupid.

Quinn. This book is a filler without any real content. It hardly moves the story along and the twists are predictable. You could skip it and go straight to Bonnie without missing a beat. Too bad.

Page turner. I read this book in one day and immediately started the next. The trilogy is great!

AMAZINGLY ASTONISHING. So I read EVE and thought that was great and then I read QUINN and I was in awe up to the very end. First let me start off by saying that I love the writing style that Iris Johansen does. Just when you think it's the end you see that it's really the beginning. I love how so far in EVE and QUINN it leads you into their back stories which I have wanted to know about since I first read, "The face of Deception". Taking the time to allow us to get more information on Eves life and the leading up to her daughter in a way is bringing me closure. This trilogy here is the reason why I became such a fan of Iris Johansen and her character Eve Duncan. I feel as though I have lost Bonnie too and I am anticipating the finale in the last book BONNIE. I surely recommend the Eve Duncan books!

A torture. I stayed with it half way, dreading every day having to pick it up and keep reading this needlessly convoluted, self-indulgent story about nothing. No action, uninteresting endless conversations amongst boring characters, repetitive prose... The last book I read from this author. Save your money and stick pins in your eyes instead... It's less painful!

Quinn. The tension between Catherine andQuall was what kept me reading. will, they? The story was more about them than Quinn. Glad I bought the book. Johansen never disappoints. Raku Gal

Quinn. It has been a long time since I have not been able to put a book down until the very end! This is the best book I've read in along time along with Eve! I can not wait to start reading Bonnie see how this all plays out. Awesome books!

Garbage. Insults my intelligence

Quinn. Book was ok, bad ending...leaves you hanging, but not with anticipation for the final in this trilogy, but frustrating that the ending was as if a chapter was left out. Sad, as I have read all of the Eve Duncan series...sigh. Will wait for Bonnie and hope for real closure.

Not about Quinn. So disappointed! It was nice to learn about Quinn meeting Eve but what about Quinn's life before that? Instead I spent most of the book waiting for Gallo & Catherine to do something. Hope Bonnie is better.

Johansen has done it again!. She has left me wanting for more! Now it will b October before the next book! I can't wait for this series to be solved! The characters are so complex and interesting!
