Amazing book!. One of the best books you can read in this lifetime, at this point of the planet we’re not going not where if we don’t explore the space.

No Photos - Description is incorrect. They must've copied the description without looking at the actual digital edition. I'm happy to have the digital edition but THERE ARE NO PHOTOS - there are some maps, but the gorgeous photos in the full color hardback edition are SO not here despite the description that made me want to buy the book. A lesson to look at the reviews before buying. :(

Enlightening!. A tribute to the true beauty of the universe and the scientific method. After reading Sagan's work I no longer accept blind faith as a valid source for knowledge. This book should be part of school curriculum everywhere.

No mis-interpretation here..... Void of censor, Mr. Sagan speaks of what he is taught prior to 1980- upon publication. No, the as-promised images do not appear on our iPads today, BUT, if you are to purchase this to be a picture-book; you are purchasing it for incorrect reasoning. This is a legendary read in the Universal world. Do not dis-credit.

Great food for thought!!!!!. Carl Sagan's "Cosmos" is fantastic! I strongly recommend Cosmos for all who enjoy thinking.

Cosmos. After seeing this book in the library I bought the electronic version and after seeing the real book I am very dissapointed there are no pictures in this version because some of the photos in this book are awesome. The description kind of misleads you to believe the pictures are included.

Where are the illustrations?. Where are all the beautiful illustrations that were in the printed version? I want my money back.

This is the Bible of science. It is the most comprehensive summary ever done for the human endeavor of knowledge. A brilliant point of view in the history of science, it’s contribution to the human societies and civilization, as well as the ways that it should be used im the future, for the prosperity of all the species of planet Earth.

Sagan's words do not require pictures.. My Bible. 'nuff said.

Amazing book. I have read this book at least 3 or 4 times and watched the TV series about the same number. Incredibly interesting and inspiring. Sagan was a genius, and this book is his masterpiece.

Love it, but.... I love this book, but where are the pictures? Don't get me wrong I am a huge, longtime fan of Sagan's. The thing is I can remember reading and flipping thru this book back when it first came out. I remember all the pics. that should be here but are not. Please please please correct this otherwise you are guilty of false advertising. Either stop claiming are many beautiful pictures in this book or fix it. I would rather have it fixed. Thank you.

Interesting Exploration of Our World and Outer Space. Good, but a little dated by references to the USSR etc. Also has an error where "that" is mistyped as "mat" multiple times.

best "popular science" work. This book should be in everyone's library. I would like to see pictures as they appear in the original 1980 edition, though I love the book. It truly can be an introductory course in science that you or I would take in college but never know a teacher like Carl Sagan could teach. The reviewers know what they were saying about it when I read it. The best science book of the 20th century, it is.

Gotta love The Carl!. This book is a must read, for everybody.

The Worst. I have never read such a boring book since this year, even Shoe Dog is way better than this book. Cosmos, intriguing topic but written in a extremely boring, dull, tedious way which is beyond my limitation to continue the reading process, which is very painful by the way. This book would be negative 10 stars if I could rate it. There are so many boring things with a only a few graphs, and, oh I can’t believe I am still wasting my time on this book, the very worst book.
