Good Reading. Enjoyed this book but found it a little dry at times. Took longer for me to read due to the way it was drug out. Enjoyed the people and the surroundings as well. Was a good story line.

Widow of larkspur. What a sweet story. Spiritual but not over the top. Let's you fall for the characters enough that the tprayers seem a natural part of the dialogue. I'll read a sequel and you will too,when you finish Ms. Blackwell's novel. So many smiles!!

Well written and entertaining. I thoroughly enjoyed this book! At first I was uncertain because the author starts out from the perspective of the main character for the first serval chapters then adds the perspective of other characters in the story. Always reverting back of course to the main character. Typically, this would annoy me but I found myself liking all of the characters so much that I not only didn't mind, but looked forward of seeing things from their prospective. This book is a feel good and inspirational book. If you are looking for a "Happy Ending" book this is the one for you.

Building a character. The characters come to life in this book. As they develop you can see both the way they look but into their soul. It's a great romantic story without all that sex that many writers use you can sense the threads of romance throughout the entire book. It's one of those that at 2 am your saying, I have got to get to bed, but just one more chapter. I had not heard of this writer and I am always looking for new writers to enjoy. I will definitely be reading more from the writer.

The Widow of Larkspur Inn. I loved it. The period harkens back to when Christian values were so much more relevant to daily living. And the clothing! However uncomfortable, there was a clean modest way of dressing. And the redemptive theme was wonderful! Isn't this how we want to live and see people enjoy their blessings after spending time in the valleys?

The character development was well done, the story was well plotted and I was inspired by this book to further my relationship with my heavenly Father through prayer.
