V is for vengeance. I've read all the previous and I must admit I had mu doubts at first. This one was different than the others but I was VERY pleasantly surprised and caught up in the story that unfolded. Cheers, to Sue Grafton on a great book!

OK. This book was just OK. Starts out a little slow, but picks up. Definitely not a $12.99 book; more like a $7.99 or $9.99 book.

V s for Vengence. Perhaps the Best "Kinsey Milhone " book yet!!

Fair job. I have read all the Sue Grafton alphabet books and this one was my least favorite. The characters were a bit unbelievable. For example, Dante was a thief and was involved in killings but he wasn't such a bad guy. Some dialogue didn't ring true. For example, the conversation Dante had with Nora after she found out the truth about him--the dialogue was emotionless and flat. Choppy scenes, threads not tied up, and characters that just didn't seem real were just some of the problems. Having said all this, I still remain a fan and I'm sure I'll read every future book.

Got to love Sue Grafton. When will W be published!

V is for Vengeance. Spellbinding. I've read all of Grafton's alphabet books since my mother-in-law introduced them to me in the late 1980's. She was living in Santa Barbara then, and until her death in 2001. She was an avid mystery fan and I caught the bug from her. Grafton's the best, and I hope she doesn't let too much time lapse before W is for............

V is for Vengeance. Not one of the author's best. There's a whole plot line about a couple of troubled marriages that have nothing to do with the main plot line, and that story never even finishes up. That thread sort got left hanging. I'm really surprised so much got u the editors. I'm a Sue Grafton fan so I was really disappointed with this one.

Not Grafton. I've read every one of Grafton's books. I have to say that I don't really believe that she wrote this one. Slang from the 90's was used and the plot was weak and appeared to be an afterthought. Most of Kinsey's actions were un-Kinsey-like. I do not recommend this book, but most of her other books are readable and interesting.

Great read. Love having another adventure with Kinsey. Complex, juicy and soooo much fun. Great ending. Worth every penny.

V is for vengenc. This was one of the best ever! Great combination of mystery and organized crime which I love. You are pulling for a character you would never expect. Loved this book can't wait til the next.

Not what I expected, and waited for.... This did not feel like a Kinsey Millhone novel. The character was off, the setting was off, the language was off...did Sue Grafton really write this novel? Honestly this was like Kinsey was channeling Archy McNally. "Scofflaws"? In a Kinsey novel?

V is for vengeance. I have read a through v and I love these books as they keep you so wrapped up in the story line you can't put the book down. Can't wait till w comes out

Excess Exposition. I've always loved Sue Grafton's Kinsey Milhone books but this one was a disappointment. Way too much exposition, far too little action.

V is for Vengeance. I've read the majority of the books from A to V, and thoroughly enjoyed them, but, for some reason I found myself skipping passages on this one. It wasn't one I could't put down.

V is for Vengence. As always the alphabet mysteries are original, complex and very entertaining. Can't wait for the next one.

V Is For Vengence. Yet another captivating tale with the not so perfect PI Kinsey Millhone. Nicely woven characters, living lives with problems that just keep compounding, including for our favorite investigator. Loved the wrap up on the last page!

It's really very good. I was hesitant to read after reading reviews about her lengthy exposition but I have to disagree; although the back story is very long it's also very interesting and the characters are complex without being too contrived. No crime happens though to anyone for a while while she builds the characters. And Kinsey is Kinsey with the exception of one event imo, her actions are not out of character. This one was well tied up. Maybe a little too tidy but great.

V.. Good read, yet often Grafton provides confusing details and characters info.

V is for Vengance. Another exciting Milhone story. Grafton is able to keep her and her escapades fresh and interesting. Great story line, characters and exciting action. Hard to put down! Can't wait for the next adventure!

One of her best integrated plots yet!. Having read all her books, I must say V is wonderfully crafted and a delight to read. The mystery unwinds in a most unpredictable manner even until the last sentence. If you're a fan, read V!

One of her best. V is for vengeance is perfect for fans of the series. There are no real surprises. Most readers are far ahead of Kinsey. But that does not affect the enjoyment of reading the book. This was the first book I read on my I pad. It was a fast light read.

V is for vengeance. I have read every one of sue graftons alphabet mysteries, and was anxiously awaiting this latest entry. Very disappointed. Slow moving, tedious and at times completely lost in minutia. Often I wondered if someone else had been writing this one. The ending picked up some, so that I was able to finish the book, but you really have to work at it for most of the way through.

Having followed the entire alphabet thru V since 1987, I am thrilled that Kinsey is back in super style, sleuthing a risky business with interesting, complexly-motivated and thinking characters (except for a couple of really thuggish bad guys). At nearly 38 years old now, the younger clever "A thru G" Kinsey who enchanted and intrigued us in those early books is back! She is on a ride with more twists and seriously threatening turns which she masters deftly in her uniquely 'charmed' fashion! Having settled the mystery of her family and currently with no love-life to distract her, Kinsey--index cards always at hand--jogs readers through a late-1980's memorabilia minus cell phones, laptops, et.al. in lovely Santa (B-oops-) Teresa, a wonderful jewel of a city's! Sue Grafton's given us another clue-puzzler from her talented writing and wonderful imagination! Thanks again, Ms. G. and family who support her! Great fun book to relax with and enjoy!!
