Not a Romance: Weak Morale for Main Characters. The writing is not bad it’s just the story line. This was by far the weakest book in the series. The main characters are weak in every way (morale, character, physically) and there’s no redemption. The author made an effort to develop each persons character which makes it doubly difficult to embrace the main characters given the genre. The so-called hero & heroine, habitually use people, especially their relatives from beginning to end! Any attempt to describe this as a lovers tryst is just wrong. How can a woman be so attracted/ in-love with a man who takes from her while engaged to her cousin and only comes for her the night before his wedding because she’s pregnant. No happy ending or fairy tale just a morally bankrupt man/Lord and a dumb woman.

Amazing!!. This book kept me on the edge of my seat, I didn't want to put it down. It's filled with love, deceit, betrayal, romance, happily ever after, lessons in life. Everything a true romance reader would want this book holds. You won't be disappointed.

Interesting Read. I have to admit I have not read the first two. I got his free over at iBooks and wanted to see if it was good. Setting aside some errors and editing issues, the story was pretty decent. I was like many others why was a 19-year-old that is not familiar with the ton or how society works would be a chaperon. However, I wanted to get into the book so I kept reading. I did not care for some of the characters and others were ok. I was wanting something good to happen to Chloë and glad she found love even if it was with Lord Andrew. No one can help who they fall in love with even if it is the wrong person. I would like to read the other two to see if they are any better.

Not worth your time. I downloaded this story because I wanted a short regency read. However a few chapters in I was very disappointed with the quality of the story, characters, and fluidity of the plot. The authors does not indulge the reader in any character development. The characters' personalities are described in a certain light but their actions are incongruous to the facade the author had painted for the character. The story line moves so quickly that it seems too unrealistic. And even so some facets that occur during the progression of the plot feel random and irrelevant. Some reactions of the characters lack basis or rationality. The main protagonists lacked virtue and principle. And overall the entire plot seems too melodramatic. Though I was looking for a light read I'm appalled and insulted as a reader to have stumbled upon a story so poorly developed with an insipid plot.

Sweet story. Quick read.. This was only the second romance novel I'd ever read, and after finishing it and realizing I liked it, it shocked me that it was free. I was surprised by the way it held my interest. I really liked the description of the period-the clothing, the food, the social settings. Not sure how historically accurate it was, but Knight-Catania did a good job of making me "see" the period. I liked this book so much that I actually read the first two books in the series, and found myself quite engaged with characters. It was nice to learn the back-stories that preceded this one. Rumor has it, there will be a fourth.... And I'm sure I will be purchasing it too.

Twin treats. The twin brothers were a well-worn story line. A 2-week widow was an unusual twist.

I'm Glad It Was Free. I've been reading historical romances for years, so I think I can identify a good one when I read one. "The Wary Widow" is not a good one. It is amateurish. It lacks depth---plot wise and character wise---and the storyline is weak. I prefer to read related novels in order, and I've read many. That way the reader is already familiar with the characters. In the beginning of TWW, I became confused with Andrew's sisters. At times they were called by their given names, other times, their titles. I had to re-read parts to determine who was who. But since this 3rd book in the series is free, I imagine the author or publisher hoped that readers would purchase the first two. I didn't, and I won't. Writers usually get better with practice. Don't they? If TWW is any indication, Benjamin's and Katherine's stories (books 1 & 2) are probably worse. I am only a reader, not a writer. I gave TWW two stars because any writer who finishes and publishes a book should get SOME credit for all the hard work it took to do so. I sincerely hope Ms. Knight-Cantania continues to improve her historical romance writing skills.

Okay. This book is well written, simply, no surprises, predictable and same old same old story. I don't like how it ended and how it tried to make Chloe seem like the victim when Lizzie to my opinion got the short end. It was basically a cheating storyline and in the end chloe didn't even have the balls to face lizzie herself but left Andrew to do the dirty work.

The Wary Widow. Not a very good book. The plot was unconvincing, the settings contrived, the social situations unlikely. A thorough editing job would have helped with those as well as incorrect use of "lay" and "lie."

Amazing Love Story. This should be a movie. Does anyone know any other books like this one? I fell in love with the story as soon as i started reading. I was so glued to the book that i read it in one whole night. I got no sleep, I ended up with burning eyes because of staring at my Ipad screen the whole night reading the book, and i have not slept yet. It was all worth it though.

Wary Widow. Not a bad free read at all, poor grammar and all. Most writers don't seem to have auto correct and spell check enabled. But I was able to look beyond all the errors and enjoy the story.

Unpredictable! ;). The book was amazing and very detailed. It had twists to it that made most parts unpredictable and surprising . In the middle and near the end parts of it were also very funny and amusing. This book brought both tears and smiles to me but mostly smiles lol. And over all it was extremely romantic and sweet, filled with love, lust, and such passion between Chloe and Andrew though they faced some obstacles on the way they managed to successfully pull through and be together in the end with a child of their own:)

Ok. This book was ok. I liked hearing updates on the characters from the other books! However was very disappointed that the author either changed or forgot some details of the previous book! I guess changing the Christmas puppy from a boy to a girl was small. Though changing the Christmas baby "Nicholas" from a boy to the little girl who was a toddler at the time was a bit much! She just delete the poor boy! If your going to write story's using the same people please keep up with details!

A page turner. This story was definitely a page turner for me. Spent a few late nights wide awake reading this book. I give it 4 stars only because it would have been nice to see how Cousin Elizabeth and her husband turned out in the end. Overall, a very wonderful and pleasing outcome and story line.
