Grammar. Great story, one I grew up with, but sack whoever edited this version because the grammar, spelling, and punctuation are awful, to the point where paragraphs are actually missing from the text.

Great story, horrible version. Don't download this!. Anne of Green Gables is one of my favorites. Thought I'd keep a copy on my iPad, saw this for free, and downloaded it. By page 8, I was irritated by the number of spelling and punctuation errors! Checked some other downloadable options, and found one for $0.99, which includes all 4+ novels in the series. No grammar or spelling issues that I've found so far. I recommend investing $0.99 to read this beautiful story as the author intended.

Great book but Lots of typos and missing text. I only read 3 chapters before I lost patience and downloaded another edition.

Great Read. There are some typographical errors in this free version of the book and a short bit near the end where the text is garbled a bit, but it won't hinder your enjoyment of the book. I will not ding it down a star for those problems since the writing is excellent and this book is free.

Too many typos. This edition has many typos and omissions. So many that I'm abandoning it in the first chapter and getting another edition. The typos are just an annoyance, but I'm concerned about missing text.

Wonderful!. I regret that I did not read this book many years ago when my young daughter recommended it! She is right. It is a wonderful and very enjoyable book. L.M.M does a superb job of developing her characters and the story.

Great book HORRIBLE EDITION. So far I am loving this book. This is the first time I have read it. Unfortunately I picked a horrible free edition because text is garbled, sentences are skipped and in some places nothing makes sense! For Oxford to put their name on this release,they should have taken more time to review it and edit it. It is deplorable!!!

Ann of green gables. A time of no electricity, of do it yourself. Beautiful time piece. Some sentences in one chapter are garbled, but loved the book.

Good Books. Good way to get all the books for free. I liked being able to read all of the stories. One problem is the page size is to small to read unless you zoom in, and that makes it difficult to read properly. Otherwise an excellent book!

Anne of green gables. Long time fan of the film & author now a fan of this charming book! There are several spots however where the copy of the text is garbled and there are typos throughout the texts- but you still get the gist of everything going on.

Find another edition. There are many errors in the text. Reading on iPad.

Love this book!. The book is insanely amazing. It puts the reader through a whole lot of emotions. It captivates your mind and makes you want more, I love it. I find no fault in it, it's simply wonderful.

Bad Editing for a Beloved Classic. The worst editing job of a fantastic and beloved novel that I have ever had the misfortune to see. Typos and cut-and-paste errors throughout this classic. Anne of Green Gables is a warm and wonderful story; this is just an awful edition. Hire a decent editor and do it over, please.

Anne of green gables. This book is a great book but I was sad that when I got to chapter 5 there wasn't a chapter 5.It was in the table of contents though.SAD!

😍. The character of Anne is so amazing! I love her imagine and her beautiful outlook on life. Everyone should read this!

This Book Teaches Lessons. I believe that this book has really been a blessing! This book teaches lessons from God, and I believe that this book will teach you lessons, too.

An excellent story, but….. L.M. Montgomery had an excellent command of language and story. I first read this book when I was Anne’s age at the beginning of the story, and I have thoroughly enjoyed reestablishing the acquaintance. I gave the rating a 4 instead of 5 because this digital copy has several editing mistakes: garbled paragraphs, missing text, etc.

Anne of Green Gables. The book was enrapturing, I found myself reading it in four days. The plot was so beautiful that I became hooked. I did not have any issues with missing text or spelling errors. I read Anne of Green Gables as a young child but this time I found myself relating to Anne and pitying her more. It is exceptionally written although simple. Strongly recommend.

My favourite.. I reckon I should’ve given this book a better try as a child because reading it again today makes me realise that it is my favourite and makes me feel a warm, fuzzy feeling inside~! I really recommend it. The movies with Megan Follows as Anne are great as well :)

E-format flawed. The book was great: childhood classic etc etc. The format was poor, with spelling errors and sometimes whole sentences missing. Some paragraphs were confused and others had random sentences included. Very frustrating!

Anne of Green Gables. This book really surprised me. It is not a book I would usually pick up, however I thought I would read a few pages to see what it was all about and found myself hooked. From start to end the interest I had in the characters drew me on and I thoroughly enjoyed every word. It is beautifully written and the descriptions and inferences alone make this book worth reading. I would thoroughly recommend this book to anyone.

Missing text. There are a lot of gaps and misspelled or missing word even whole sentences a truly terrible copy

MarlieH. I loved this book when I first read it as a ten year old, and I have read it countless times since. It is amusing, thoughtful and beautiful. I am a mature aged person now and still read it and love it.

A Child of a Writer. This is by far my favourite book for one true reason: it is about Anne. Anne is the true child of a writer. What I mean by this is Lucy Maud Montgomery has poured her writer’s imaginative soul into a girl with red hair and braids and let her run free. Out of all people, living or dead, real or fiction, Anne is the one I admire the most. Why? She is the true unfiltered picture of imagination.
