4th to last thread. The hero's control is always "on it's very last thread", but he never topples over the edge. You'll hear that phrase at least 3 or 4 times before anything significant happens. The main characters are likeable and unique. It is nice to read a historical romance where a couple's intellect and wit are valued over their "unparalleled beauty". All in all, it is a decent novel.

Earl deserves love. I was bored. Skipped quite a few chapters. Slow and no excitement to the story. Disappointed to say the least. Don’t know if I will read the rest of the series.

Outstanding read. I read this book in a week. It has such an amazing back drop to it, so much detail I could picture everything. Pippa is a doll to love and cross. Oh lord, cross is to die for. This is a must read. Can't wait to get my hands on more of her books

21!. Pippa is a logical yet lively heroine and Cross is her exact match! Wonderful sparring and love scenes make this an exceptional read. Loved it!

Sister does not get her happy ending. I liked the love story part but felt other parts of the story did get their proper endings!

Really boring!. I have read hundreds of romance novels for years and this book is just terrible! The author takes u through pages and pages of unnecessary scenes to get to the point! The hero and heroin have discussed the exact same topic on 20 different locations. There's no depth, no emotion, nothing romantic happening. Save your money and time!!
