Excellent read.. An excellent book. Made me think back when I was that age.

Cute Middle Grade. I loved this book just as much as I did the first time I read it. Margaret is such a good sweet character. Her journey through being a girl is so relatable.

Pretty good. I thought this was a pretty good book but I thought she acted very juvenile for her age. I think she acted as if she were in 4th grade. But in all it was a very good book!!

This book is definitely a 5/5!. This book would be perfect for a 5-7th grader experiencing this, this can help them with problems they alone might be going through. I thought this book was just so relatable and good. Even if you already experienced this type of thing I still recommend. It’s just amazing overall.

Every young girl should read this!. I absolutely loved this book when I was little! To this day, I can honestly say this is the only book that's touched my life. I few weeks after I read this book, my aunt told my mom I should read this book and my mom told her I had my aunt was very surprise I knew about the book and was more surprised my mom didn't know what the book was about. My mom then made me check the book out from the school again just so she could read it. When I have children... If I have children (or even a girl at that) I will definitely be getting this book for her.

A very nice book. When I red the sample I loved it. In my opinion it’s a nice book for young teens like starting from the age around 12. I look forward to buying and reading the rest!

Are You There, God? It's me, Margaret.. Yet another great Judy Blume story that has to do with sex. One of the main ideas is about girls having their periods. It however does not contain any masturbating or anything like that. I'm sort of sad when I finish reading a Judy Blume book, that I almost forget entirely about what's going on! This is why I have given Judy Blume yet another 5 star rating.

All time favorite. Read this when I was 10 years old, and read it multiple times throughout my whole life. Still so impactful, witty, funny and heartwarming. I am now 35 and re-reading it for the 1000th + time, just in time for the new release of the movie. Best book you can gift a girl 🤍

Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret. Classic. It might not be the best for boys, but it can remind girls of their past, and tell them about their future. About menstruation and young love and Religion. Something that relates to everyone. So I recommend this book to anyone who knows ow to laugh, and enjoy a good old, classic, Judy Blume.

Childhood Revisited!. I’m 71 and I’m reading Judy’s books. I wasn’t even aware of her books when I was growing up. I lived a very sheltered life. Oh what I missed! Better late than ever. I’m revisiting my childhood and it’s great fun!

Are You There, God? It’s Me, Margaret.. Margaret is worried about many things that other young teens are processing. I think young girls would find comfort in the fact that they have company on braving new benchmarks as they enter the teen years. Why this is on banned book lists is beyond me!

Love this book so much!. I’ve read this book maybe 3 times. All about growing up and trying to fit in. Out of all Judy blumes amazing books, this one is by far my favorite. Please read it, you will love it.

Kinda good. This book is good, but it is a little outdated. Would recommend but not as a really good read. The main character worries about things that girls now don’t worry about as much.

Well.... Some people can relate to Margaret, some can't. Let's just say most preteen girls DO think of what she and her friends do in the book, like growing up, boys, bodily changes. But not all of them simply OBSESS over it. Though I am close to Margaret's age, it was hard to relate to a character who thought she was a freak just because she didn't get her period at age 11. Not all girls obsess over or even want these things. Also, Margaret's search for God really WASN'T interesting or deep. It acted as if the only religions in the world are Judaism and Christianity, specifically Catholicism, and Margaret had to choose between those two. What I did like was when Laura finally made Margaret realize that being an "early bloomer" can be just as awkward and embarassing as being one of the girls to mature later. Margaret, overall, I found an unlikable protagonist because of the way she was nasty to Laura and obsessed over things to the point of ridiculousness, but I was glad that she realized some of her mistakes because many people, especially at that age, are not able to put things into perspective and realize that life isn't necessarily great for someone just because you are jealous of them.

Best book ever. You have to read this book because it is so totally awesome! Must read for all girls fifth grade and up. This book has changed my life and it will be a favorite forever. Oh and clear your schedule before you read this book because you won't want to put this amazing book down.😀

Amazing!. Ever since I was younger I've wanted to read this book. Being younger I'd forget the name and not know where to find it in the library. Recently remembered at the age of 22 and found it! Bought it right then and feel in love! I knew I'd love it and I am so happy to have finally read it.

Yet one day her parents decide to move out to the small suburb of Farbrook, New Jersey. For her own part, Margaret is about to enter the sixth grade at a brand new school, and much like the typical adolescent girl, she begins to worry about issues such as boys, bras, and periods. She often speaks to God about these things, but privately. After the Sample Summary: Margaret joins a secret club with Nancy Wheeler along with Gretchen Potter and Janie Loomis. They make up rules. Nancy says they must wear bras, ( Margaret doesn’t wear one nor Janie ) Gretchen saids they have to talk about periods, Janie makes a boy book. Margaret says meeting on certain days a week. They talk about Laura Danker, a developed girl who is rumored for going behind the A & P. Margaret purchases a training bra, she sees Janie shopping for a bra as well. Spoiler: Margaret is worried shes not normal for being a late bloomer, and then in the end, she gets a period and realizes she is normal. She also struggles with religion, as many people tell her different things ( OF THERE PREFERENCE NOT MARGARETS ) Great book, not as inappropriate as the back of the book states, 5 stars. Age 8+

Great book. Wow, I truly love the book. Even though she was stuck in front of two diverged roads. Her heart chose the right path.

Okay book. It was a cute story but not worth six dollars. I am just a year over Margaret myself, but I honestly can't relate to her in any way. I say if you want to read it, check it out at the library or the kindle library. Finished it in just three days. Apple should lower the price for such a short book.

Are You There God? It's Me Margerat. This book is a great coming of age novel about the complexities, hardships, and struggle teen and tween girls specifically go through while growing up. It explains that everyone is different and people aren't always what they seem. I think every girl should read this novel because it gets you ready for the life ahead.

I wish it was a series!. I ended up finishing this book to fast. I loved how Margaret had this amazing confidence in the book, it's incredible how confident she was with her actions but talking not so much. Judy Blume please please please if your read this can you maybe make this book into a series? I would love that and I bet a lot of young girls who read this book too would.
