Truly life changing. I have read the one twice and will read it again. This is real Christianity. I recommend this to all believers. Our church pulpits and teachers must return to life in Christ not rules to live life by. Tozer has left us all a treasure of truth that is practical everyday life stuff. The prayers at the end of each chapter will be part of my life till go home to Jesus. READ THIS BOOK AND LIVE!

Tozer's Best. I decided to read this book because I always see it on all the lists of top Christian books. Tozer wrote The Pursuit of God almost 60 years ago to help believers have a deeper awareness of the King of the Nations. It's a fast read, but one that should probably be read more than once. I enjoyed the prayers at the end of each of the ten chapters and found the retelling of the story of Abraham and Isaac in The Blessedness of Possessing Nothing chapter to be particularly meaningful. Some interesting facts that I learned about Tozer include that he was once a pastor in Indianapolis, and he entered the ministry without either high school or college training. He educated himself by years of diligent study and a constant prayerful seeking of the mind of God. Absolutely remarkable and very inspiring. I'm glad I read this book and would recommend it to those who truly want to learn how to nourish their soul.

Someone after the Heart of God. Scripture tells us God loved David because he sought the Lord's heart. When not reading the Bible for guidance, the second place I go is to an author who is truly and obviously after the Lord's heart. I felt Tozer was such and as a result I gained from this book.

The Pursuit of God. This book should be read by every professing Christian. It is not calling yourself a Christian in front of others that counts. It's what you do behind closed doors. Our relationship with Jesus Christ is all that matters. If you do not have an intimate relationship with Him, then you are not His. You are either running to God or you are running away from Him.

Great book. This book really tells you how to get close to God, it's a must read for all Christians.

Great Book.. This book does a very good job of reminding us that God is always there. He is in every moment of our lives we just have to silence the noise and pay attention to our soul.

The Pursuit of God. One of the most important Christian books I have read. A W Tozer is a giant in spiritual perception with a humble gift of clearly explaining the most deep truths. Read everything he has written you can get your hands on! Don’t miss the blessing.

Good but boring. It seemed redundant

Deepest gratitude. God has blessed me abundantly with Tozer’s teaching. This is not merely a book to be read and sat aside; like the Bible itself, it is one God will use to draw all onto Himself by its sincere application. It is a means to a boundless relationship with the Triune God. My prayer is that you too will find utmost peace & joy in your use of The Pursuit of God.

Inspirational. I have read this book many times throughout my life and have found it to be a treasure trove of inspiration and knowledge. I highly recommend this book, both to read and to have in one’s personal library.

This book takes the reader in deep waters. Deep and thought provoking. Much needed in these last days.

A Correct Representation of God. The author writes to the heart, not the head. His love for and devotion to God shimmer on every page, and appeal to hunger to know God in relationship rather than religion.

A Challenging Call to Go Against the Grain. This great book asks us to ask questions regarding why we do things a certain way as a church body in this age. The author points us back to Christ’s words and the specific habits and actions that truly define living the life of a Christ Follower. Tozer does not coddle. He lays into the lazy believer with comparisons to the Pharisees of old, the early church fathers and Christ Himself as a measure to see ourselves accurately as we are now and as we ought be according to the scriptures. If you are interested in spiritual growth, seriously, you’ll want to read this book several times and be willing to change some of the ways you think about church, faith, work, living, serving, and more.
