After a shootout claims the life of his partner in a condemned tenement building on Pearl Street, Detective John Tallow unwittingly stumbles across an apartment stacked high with guns. Amazing fun. Wonderful story and amazing characters. A couple characters are 1 dimensional but for the most part the main characters are thoughtful and natural. Great pokes at historical and present day New York. Good read, pick it up.

4-star. A few too many favorable 'coincidences' give the hero an edge. But, overall, a good cop book.
