ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS I HAVE EVER READ! 👍🏻. This book is a mix of gory pulp fiction and plots that keep reader on the edge of their seats. Reading was not my favorite activity in the world, but this book and the rest of the series make me want to keep reading. The author is ever so talented and I wish for them to keep writing their amazing books!

I really like it.. Overall a fun read. I'm not a fan of romance, but you can't avoid it these days and it's not detrimental to the story, unlike in a lot of other stories out there. I love the storytelling and the world-building, and the character depth seems very well thought out, but the editing seems to have missed a few spelling errors here and there (such as when they found a "handset" instead of a "headset") and there seem to be a few more commas than necessary on occasion. Regardless, I look forward to reading the rest of this series. I originally heard about this story via word of mouth, and I'm quite disappointed that it's not more popular, as I've not heard about it anywhere else. I rate 5 stars because it managed to engross me enough to read it all in one sitting.

Unique and believable. What a great read! And although "Mythical" is an easy read, the characters, plot and action are very well crafted. Deceptively simple at first, the reader is drawn into lives of humans and mythical creatures and we see how reasonable AND believable it is that they coexist in present day. Marvelous characters traced from our ancient mythology suddenly appear to battle the Stone Soldiers and the age-old struggle of good vs evil plays out. The reader is both observer and participant as recognition of these ancient myths dawns; as part of our archetypal heritage, our human, superhuman and para human abilities are examined, explored and exploited. CE Martin has a wonderful style--flowing action punctuated with detailed narrative made this book something I had to keep reading. "Mythical" gave me a new perspective, one that encourages closer inspection of the things we often take for granted. I look forward to reading more of the Stone Soldiers stories and highly recommend "Mythical"--it will appeal to the scientific AND fantastically-minded reader.
