Was this written by a high schooler?. I'm not taking this very serious because the grammar alone gives away the authors ineptitude. Having not only studied variations in Maasai culture as an anthropology student, but also lived in many Maasai communities over the years I can confidently tell you that this book is full of false information, much of based on little more than stereotypes and assumptions. If you want to learn about "the" Maasai don't read this book. If you want a good laugh maybe you'll get one from this book if you can look beyond its sometimes offensive proclamations.

“Fake news” and highly biased. This book isn’t even remotely scholarly or informative. It reminds me of fake news—highly opinionated journalism disguised as “news.” I’ve watched many documentaries and interviews with of Massai, and this reporting seems aimed at disparaging Massai men. The author uses many opportunities to say what “Massai men” don’t do. However, when discusses the tradition of Massai men bravely killing lions, he refers to the men as “individuals who hunted lions” instead of Massai or Massai men. I deleted the book immediately after reading it. I wonder about the author’s motives.
