Awesome book. I love open minds i couldnt stop reading its just soo interesting although i was kind of dissapointed when simon died but other than that i love this book

Original story line!. I really enjoyed this book. Especially the more original story line. Kira discovers she is not a reader but a jacket. She can project her thoughts into another's kind. She's a strong character and at the age of 16, she's more than she appears to be. I was surprised at the death of a character, but felt their death was needed to give Kira that push to realise that there was no going back. But the character who died, he saved Kira. I liked how the author killed someone off (no fairy tales here!) it was refreshing to read. I mean, you have all these books, and rarely the author kills off a main character. You felt the characters needless death more. Anyways, it is a good read. There are some points where the author jumps around and is hard to follow, and some of the words used the author expected the reader to learn new slangs for a society about 100 years in the future.

Watch Your Brain!. An excellent sci-fi, written for young adults, but we regular adults love it too! Loved the character details woven into a complicated story line about possible skills of thought transfer. Can you read or jack?

Captivating from the beginning!. I'm going to first say, I ship Raf and Kira and it has never changed. I never liked Simon, which I mean I guess we're not supposed to but still not the point. This book had me on a roller coaster from anger, to denial, to being fine. I couldn't stop reading it! It is captivating from the beginning and I am going to read more! I'm probably going to end up buying the actual books(if it's available). Open Minds has awesome characters and character building. The plot was on point and although there are many Y.A. books about mind reading and all that, I feel like this one is better.

Open Minds. Took a bit to get into the book but am thrilled I persisted! Great read, mind opening, characters we can totally love or equally despise! Looking forward to reading the next!

Great. You will be pleased with this authors work. You don't find many lesser known authors who can write with such a wonderful flow. Good character development. The story draws you in and you become part of it. Exciting and will keep you up late reading.

Fabulous. Great story about a girl who just wants to fit in. The only problem with that is she can't read minds. And just when things are looking up, everything goes sideways. I highly recommended!

An entertaining read through and through. The setting is 100 years (give or take) in the future. Due to a government experiment gone awry, the norm had become bring able to communicate telepathically. People who can't are considered abnormal/freaks. And then there are those who can controls other people's minds... This book is gritty sci-fi with a substantial dose of (government) conspiracy theory, and a much smaller dose of fledgling (teenage) romance all entertainingly well-blended.

That was amazing. One of the best books I have ever read, awesome storyline, amazing characters, just amazing!

Open Minds. Quinn has created a unique future world, where communicating telepathically is the norm. The world is similar to the movie "the invention of lying". There are no secrets, no lies and, no touching? The world is not well explained. The readers are not supposed to touch, the why is not really explained, too intense? Intimate? But as soon as her change happens, Kira gets her first kiss in a dramatic PDA --huh? And what's with the drinking--dipping? One kid gets drunk, and the rest feel the effects by touching, why not just read his mind if everything is so open? Does this work for food cravings as well? You would think in a society with no secrets and lies, there would be no crime, war or need for spying, but you'd be wrong. West Point is still in business, so's the FBI, and dad's a secret spy. I kept reading to learn more about this world, but it did not unfold logically, just conveniently--mindjackers cannot be read, but when Kira needs to read someone's mind she can. Her mind cannot be penetrated, hers is the only unpenetrable mind, then she meets the guard with the granite mind. Did you get that, she meets a mind she cannot jack and he's only a guard. Everyone is so special, but because the parameters for the normal world have not been set out, we haven't a clue as to who is the most unique. And another thing, the slang language used just seems made-up, and never really explained-pravers? It's annoying and gets in the way of the story. I like that the families are strong and stay loyal, I don't like that the society appears to have no social conscience, and the high school seems like a bully breeding camp. A stronger story would develop if just a little more time had been spent on building the world. I read the whole book just to learn about this world and the abilities. By the end of book one the world should be well established, I'm not interested enough to slog through another novel to satisfy that curiosity.

Loved it.. I really enjoyed this book. It had good suspense, science fiction, bit of romance and great twists! At first I thought it would be just another lame fantasy teen bad romance indie book but it developed into something really good that kept me wanting to read more and made it really hard to put it down!! In my taste, this book was awesome.

The ending. It was a really good book. It made me sad in certain moments and happy in others and I love the main characters sense of justice even though I didn't like the ending. I felt like their could have been a much much better ending. But overall the book was good and I would recommend it
