Stardrop is Wonderful. The galaxy is in turmoil… a state of civil war... a “star war” if you will, and the space princess Ashelle is on the run from galactic authorities. Sound familiar? Good now take everything you know about that those “star wars” the space ship battles, super lasers, the incredible action etc… and put it WAAAAAy far away, up in the sky because in the charming comic Stardrop nearly all the blockbuster action takes place “off screen”. “Wait a minute”, you say, “what does a space opera without the action leave me with?” Oh not much, just the entertaining, humorous, and thought provoking story of a young woman trying to fit in in alien surroundings. The author/artist Mark Oakley uses Ashelle’s situation and his cleverly written dialogue to hilariously expose oddities of modern western culture and other aspects of human society. Oakley draws an energetic line that seems to me an interestingly effective cross of Bill Watterson and Hayao Miyazaki. In short Stardrop is a wonderful comic that can be enjoyed on a number of levels and I highly recommend it.

NEEDS A SEQIL!!!. this book is great except one problem... IT NEEDS A SEQUIL!!!! i loved this book it was funny and smart but i really was disappointed when i found out there was no second book in this series!

It is an okay comic Book. This book is not so great or not so boring it is right in the middle. But it also conveyed the message of friendship. Also, it showed that even though being the princess of another world we have to explore all the other places without the title of people the important person.

Unexpectedly fresh and fun. Highly satisfying, really smart, and very funny. The author's spot-on ear for contemporary dialog and humor make this quirky book surprisingly engaging. It's a page-turner and I'm eager for more!

Great. A very high percentage of intricate vocabulary words. I honestly undoubtedly enjoyed the pleasuring story from this graphic novel.

Anne of green space gables. Very entertaining read from the mastermind behind Thieves and Kings

Entertaining and thoughtful. As always, this is a very entertaining comic from Mark Oakley. The world he creates get more intriguing the farther you delve into the stories of his lovable characters. Although he tends to go off in tangents easily, it's speaks for Mark's seemingly intuitive writing style that often feels like your taking a ride with him through his imagination, and often even the author is not completely sure where it will take us. His meaningful thoughts on the world and social structures are also quite evident throughout the stories, without ever feeling like your being preached at or it feeling too pretentious. If you like this, also check out his "Thieves and Kings" which I personally like the best of his stories!

Star Drop is good comics. In a world where the superhero comic have become synonymous with the medium, Mark Oakley as a creator, is a shining example of what can be done outside of that genre. Star Drop is a well written and brilliantly illustrated comic for those that love the medium.
