A Stranger in the Family by Patricia McLinn Book Summary

He came for his son. He never expected her.
A sexy, intriguing stranger arrives unexpectedly at her Wyoming ranch, threatening the one thing Cambria protects more fiercely than her heart -- her family.

Bodie's discovery that he fathered a son 17 years ago starts a search that leads him to the warm and welcoming Weston family. But his response to one member of the family is far more than he ever expected. The sparks between him and Cambria are real ... and so is the danger to his hopes for their future if she finds out why he's really in Wyoming.

A stranger in the family. A good read. Good development of emotions and complications of relationships. Nicely done.

A Stranger in the Family. I enjoyed reading this book. I liked the characters. The story wasn't the same old predictable plot. I looked forward to every chance I had to pick it back up and read some more.

A Stranger in the family. This was a most enjoyable novel. I would recommend it to friends.

Wonderful. What an excellent story, with great characters. I couldn't put this book. The romantic scenes were steamy enough. Great read.

A stranger in love. It was the usual love story but an enjoyable read with likable characters.

Cold. Loved the hero, hated the heroines mean, rude, bitter personality. I was hoping for a twist to pop up like maybe falling for the real mom. Then I realized it was only because the heroine was just so dang rigid/hard... She's a tough nut to like, period.

Bardville —1. Good character development, not totally predictable outcomes and worth an afternoon read.

Riveting. I really enjoyed this book. I love the way the story turned out and the journey it took to get to that point.

Refreshing!!!. Love a book that mixes love, family and complicated situations together. I could not put this book down.... Loved the whole book. Thumbs up!!!

A Stranger in the Family. This was not a story about a father finding his son . It barely mentions that relationship. Very lame. I’m disappointed because this is basically just another blah guy meets girl they fall in love sort of. Ugh. Sorry but I was expecting better.

A Stranger in the Family. Great book. I have read many books by this author. She makes the people in the story interesting and real. I definitely recommend this book to others to read.

Well written!. This was an awesome story.

Good read. Great characters & story.

A stranger in the family. It is complicated when a man discovers he has a son who is a teen. The dilemma he faces is whether to follow his heart by finding and meeting his son or to cautiously protect the son who may not welcome the news and disruption. Becoming attracted to the son’s family adds more emotional turmoil.

Stranger in the family. Excellent story. Could not put in down

Stranger in the Family. I enjoy Patricia’s writing, her way of making the characters alive is a good read. I have read many/ have many of her novels…always relaxing and enjoyable.

Just okay. Did not care for the storyline. You weren't if you could root for the main characters since their secrets could tear them apart.

A Stranger in the Family. Nice clean story. Thank you!

A Stranger in the Family. A Stranger in the Family by Patricia McLinn is a story of a father who wants to meet his son after knowing about it for the first time. His girlfriend never told him about his birth, and giving him up for adoption. He searches for him, and finds him. He doesn't know how to go about it, and meanwhile he ends up loving the boy's sister.

A stranger in the Family. Excellent book. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys romantic and western novels

Didn't grab me. Sorry but this book starts out really slow. I couldn't get past page 60.

Great story. A businessman finds out he has a son and travels to meet him. He falls in love with his son’s adoptive sister and becomes part of the family. This was a fantastic story about family and love. Great read.

Good read. I enjoyed reading this book because I like the characters in the story. I like the banter between Boone and Cambria. It was interesting to see how Boone was going to tell them that Pete was his son. After he did the author did not tie the story up with a red ribbon. Instead she went on to explore the feelings of those involved with this big revelation. Showing how they finally worked everything out.

A stranger in the family. The first part drug out to much. I almost didn’t finish it, but it started getting better and I kept going then didn’t want to put it down. I recommend it just stay patient

A Stranger in the Family by Patricia McLinn. A great read. Lots of saucy romance & broken hearts but a good ending. Enjoy. GH Redland City Australia

A great read. What a lovely, well written story. The emotional journey between the characters draws you in. I will definitely be reading the rest of this series.

Waste on time!. The characters had no connection at all. Boring, boring, boring. Kept wondering when the story was going to start

A stranger in the family. Did not care much for the story.

Just okay. It was easy to get into the book and like the characters but it was hard to finish. It seemed like the plot moved VERY slowly from then beginning until 3 chapters or so from the end where it picked up the pace and had a slap-dash ending. By the end of it, I didn't care enough anyway I guess. Won't read the sequel.
