Great read. Gabriel allon is such a terrific character and this book is terrifically written. Really looking forward to the next book!

English Girl. An excellent read.

Same old same old. This series is getting dull. The bad guys make the book, since Gabriel and his team remain static, and these bad guys didn't cut it. Silva needs to shake things up in a major way with the next book if he wants to continue to move big numbers of sales.

The English Girl. Daniel Silva has delivered another brilliant Allon novel. The same wonderful story telling, phrasing and familiar characters we've grown to love, wrapped in an extraordinary plot straight from today's headline.

The English Girl. I have never yet been disappointed with Daniel Silva's Gabriel Allon books. Again, he wrote another masterpiece! After finishing this latest... My only disappointment is that I shall have to wait entirely too long, for the next! Way to go, Mr. Silva!

Mailed it In. Sorry Silva, I have read everything you have written but you totally mailed it in on this one. Nothing new, unique or different in this one, recycled and boring. Am huge fan of your Allon books but next time p,ease return to injecting something interesting into the spy story. This one was dull, gratuitous and a retread.

The English Girl. I fully intent to write a personal note to Daniel to express, in more detail, my fondness for Gabriel Allon, et al and his works. When Gabriel looses the girl through actions an avid reader of his adventures would know Gabriel would never do, I gasped. I asked myself, "What are you thinking Daniel!"? However, keeping faith with my favorite author, I plunged ahead as the complex story unfolded as only Daniel Silva could manage it. It all became perfectly clear that, once again, Daniel Silva has reached a new level of producing a novel of incredible poise, intrigue and pure enjoyment. Thank you Daniel. Colonel (retired) B. One of Silva's best!. The English Girl is one of Silva's best. His trilogy about Nazi's and the role of the Catholic Church during those perilous times (The English Assassin, The Confessor, and A Death in Vienna) should be required reading. Gabriel at his best in this one.

The English Girl. I have read every Daniel Silva book, and this one was not up to par! In fact, the beginning was boring, and then the book proceeded to follow the same old formula. I hope Gabriel takes his new job offer and then does something unique

Another hit. Silva has done it again! This is a great read with so many twists and turns it will make you dizzy. Fast paced and thrilling the whole way, it is a page turner. The use of the characters is amazing and the English girl is a character not soon forgotten. This book, as well as other Silva books is a must read.

The English Girl. This is the first book I read by Silva. It was a great summer read! Good character development and a fun story line that kept me committed to returning to its pages even after skipping a few days. I will definitely go back to this author's work.

Best Yet. I love the series and this was the best yet. Really did stay awake late into the night to finish.

Much too familiar. The latest Gabriel Allon adventure is much too familiar. It lacks fresh excitement, and overall, the story hasn't a lot of energy. The same tics apply to the standard group of characters we've seen in the other Allon books. Mr. Silva needs to kill off one or two of Allon's team, who are introduced as if they have been copied and pasted from the other books. The author needs to add some new characters, especially in Israel and on the assassination team. Can Shamron be any more boring? Give Gabriel and Chiara a baby, even if they have to adopt one. This novel is like the fictional equivalent of treading water. Same old, same old.

The English girl. DaSilva just keeps getting better and better. He has obviously set the stage for further adventures with Allon's long expected and awaited elevation to head of department. English Girl is full of twists and turns and hard to pit down, finished in 2 sittings.
