Not unreadable. This book isn't terrible. I read it rather quickly, actually. My main issue with it is that it seems like a rehash of generic Phil Jackson ideology. The chapter comparing Kobe to Jordan was interesting, but felt like a blatant pandering for an ESPN headline. The last 100 pages really have no momentum, however, I found the first half of the book to be interesting, albeit nothing new.

Another great one by Phil. Jackson does great job going over his entire career without making it a repeat of his previous books. At the same time he provides valuable insight into every team he dealt with both as player and coach. Great read.

"True words". Wow this books is and going to be a top seller for sure it is so good and into detail on comparing The one day great Michael Jordan and the Greatest to ever play the game of basketball Kobe Bryant.

Absolutely great. Loved this book, very insightful as well as a great look behind the scenes of MJ and Kobe and what went into being champions. I couldn't stop reading this as I went and that's rare for myself. Highly recommended

Great Book.. My first purchase on iBooks. You don't have to be a Lakers or Basketball fan to enjoy. Very we'll put together. Will buy the hard copy as well.

Greatest Scorer. Michael Jordan is by far the greatest basketball player ever! However the Black Mamba is the greatest scorer ever. If I needed 50pts to win give me Kobe, if I need to win a seven game series, give me MJ.... FLAT OUT!

What??. Listen to this guy el presidente...one day great michael and what kobe? You got it all mixed up and then you will endorse the book? I don't know what book you read man. Anyways it will be great when it comes out. Finally Phil decides to let everything be known about his convictions on his airiness and black mamba. If you are any way intrigued about the game then this book has to be a must collection

Eleven Rings. This book allows you to self reflect and hoyne in on your moments of selflessness. We all have experienced this whether we realize it or not. Great read

A must read. For any basketball fan this is a must read....indeed any sports fan. The insights here into sports biggest minds are priceless. Superb read.

Great read !!. As a fan of the sport of basketball, I must say this book has everything to make you understand the part in a different way. It makes you understand the train of the though that Phil Jackson has had with teaching these players about life and the game. Made me even more of a fan of Phil! It was just phenomenal!

Amazing story about an amazing sport and an amazing man. If you are looking for a historical documentation that is written with the eloquence of a novel, than this is it.

Great Book!. I am proud to say that at 27 yrs old is the first book i read from start to end page by page word by word and i learned so much about basketball but i also felt like i was part of this journey great insight on the zen practice and how a religion can be connected to a sport such as basketball thank u!!

Really good book. I've always admired Phil as a coach and as a writer. Phil goes deep into spirituality; Bulls and Lakers here. Countless interesting tales about basketball legends and behind the scenes negotiations. Great examples of grace under pressure!

Phil da man - to know that people think like him -. The comfort & insight shared crossing philosophical realms of unity, understanding the power of music, psychology of chemistry within a team of how unity prevails over ego to be the best. The coach of this magnitude who understands players like Rodman & how their contrarian contribution can be managed not in ole skool ways but connecting to them so it becomes their responsibility is once in a lifetime. My ultimate respect for sincerity, vulnerability & the courage to incorporate his own style with Indian culture along w/ solid faith in God instills the soul into whatever Phil does. When I was playing football in college, I was visiting my older brother in Lincoln park in Chicago on my way back from a summer program in Rome. When a attractive, spiritual gal that crossed paths with gave me a copy of “The Peaceful Warrior,”which she told me that Phil Jackson had given this book to some of his players. Dan Millman’s book had a profound impact on my life teaching me about checking in your ego; and putting the right energy & intent out there so where the right people come into your life at the precise time. (Well not exactly how it goes, but when tapped in correctly - the magic does happen). Thanks Phil for truly an awesome book, where every 2 pages I was memorizing your quotes while simultaneously sending them off to my colleagues along with former athlete buddies. Great!!...but left shot.. It's a great book about the insights of his journey with many lessons learned and not what the media told people...I just felt at the end I was cut off, the book just ended...maybe there is another book in the works for another chapter in his life???

Absolutely amazing! Step until Phil Jackson's world. This book was absolutely phenomenal. I enjoyed reading every single word. The comparisons between Michael Jordan & Kobe Bryant were remarkable. Phil Jackson goes on speaking about the triangle offense. The triangle offense led the Bulls to six championships victories. The struggles between Kobe and Shaq were also extraordinary to read about.

Great. Not only about basketball but lessons about life itself
