Marti Talbot's Highlander Series 1. I usually prefer books to short stories, but this set that were linked worked well. The characters are likable and the stories had interesting twists. I liked the role played by the English king. I will probably read more.

Printing errors. Why is the end of nearly every chapter cut off mid-sentence?

Marti Talbot's Highlander Series1. There were three tales in the Highlander Series1. Marti Talbott weaves the stories of bravery, and romance in a truly delightful manner. While reading them one goes back in time to the old world charm of existence.

Marti Talbott's Highland Series 1. Love this book. I am fascinated with all the Highland writing but especially love this romantic fast pace book. It carried you into a lot of family history & you felt like you were there in the story with them

Never enough.... It was good to know the same people as they lived thru related stories blended into one tale. Each time I loved them more... and so admired the writing as this occurred. Unlike a cliffhanger sequence, the characters you already know are still vital and shown in even greater depth of wisdom, affection and humor. How many ways can one "Laird" win your heart and admiration? Never often enough....

Fin read. I enjoyed the characters and the story.

Repetitive. This story is a collection of three different romances from the same family. Each are very similar and reads the same as the last. Female protagonist is desired by male lead character but doesn’t want to get married. She is injured and has to be cared for by the man and carried on his horse with him for a while and the she quickly shifts to be madly in love with him usually within one chapter. Lacks character development. This would have been better is more time and care would have been taken with the Kevin and Anna romance and if this would have been properly developed.

Awesome Storyteller!. I love this series! Each book is a heart warming story of love and triumph. I really love reading about this era in history and Marti does a superb job. So very nice to have the romance along with an adventure. Highly recommend this book and series.

Bad Writing. So the story was interesting, but the writing was exceptionally juvenile. A step above 'See Jack run.' No feeling. No emotion, just a straight narrative. I stopped reading because it just wasn't worth my time. For as basic as the writing was, i *was* impressed by the lack of spelling errors. So one star for spelling and one star for the story line.

Could be better.... Good plot; bad writing.

Not good book. Try and. Research anything Scots as Scot I couldn’t read it

Highlander Series 1. I have just finished reading this book and it's very clear that Marti did not research the Scots language, culture, dress, etc of the Highlands. I found the whole experience cringeworthy and as we say in Scots, ' It fair gave me the boak'. Needless to say, I won't be wasting my time reading any more of the series.

Marti Talbotts Highlander series 1. I really enjoyed this book, I am now up to series 5 ,think I am addicted.

Short, sweet & to the point.. Three books in one, but each book can be read independently. All HEA w/ no cliffhangers. Very sweet books but short & to the point. Not a lot of wymsy which is nice if you need a quick romantic fix. I loved all the characters & will most definitely be reading more from this author.

The highlanders. I'm trying to find the next book in the series. I really enjoyed the stories in this book. It made me laugh as well as get emotional. Loved it will probably read it again in the future.

Good Read. by darnprecious this was a nice clean story for those like me ,who do not need explicit sex scenes to enjoy a book.Very refreshing.It is hard to find good clean novels nowadays .Thank you
