Not what I expected!. Very interesting and never boring.

The Lead Cloak. This book is nothing short of phenomenal. It was refreshing to read such a captivating book that wasn't another dystopian futuristic teen drama. Like everything, nothing is perfect and at times the fight sequences were a little hard to follow. That aside it was a great read and I am thoroughly looking forward to reading the sequel.

Unique Ideas, and a Fun Read. Thought this was a really nice read and was pleasantly surprised with new ideas and interesting uses of future technology - just bought book 2 and can't wait to start reading it!

Good read for sci-fi fans. I find this book engaging. It isn't a "cliffhanger" but it has the necessary detail needed to keep me coming back for more. I will provide 5 stars, to encourage sci-fi readers to give it a go.

Once I had a sample I could not stop reading even though I knew it was a trilogy.... I am sort of new to iBooks and after the first time "burned" by downloading unknowingly the "free" first book of a trilogy I was never going to again. But the description sounded so interesting on this, the sample hooked me. I want more, but the first book by itself was satisfying too. There are so many messages in this book that I want to think more about. Only wished I found the characters a little more believable- but later books may explain. Thanks for discounting this book so I read it.

The Lead Cloak. Thrilling and well written science fiction with an abundance of provoking new ideas. It combines excellent character development with intriguing plot lines. I was hooked from beginning to end. Can't wait for the sequel. rschimpff

Vast reduced to pinpoint still vast. It’s not often that you get the whole picture resting on a molecule. Lots of science made deceptively simple - or rather allowed to underwhelm while still spinning all the brain receptors. Power guy’s tech, Resistance guy’s tech… no easy answers… therefore… the first day of the next book… because this evolution just became a whole picture… vast and resting on???

Thrilling read!. The story is gripping from the very first chapter, with many ingenious twists to keep it racing on to the apocalyptic conclusion. Loved it!!

Terrific. Not a 5 star simply because nothing's perfect. But, by heck, it's really very, very good and so plausible. I look forward to seeing the movie. People beware of over reliance on technology - like smartphones...

On the edge of possibility, but enticing. While I definitely enjoyed the story, I did find myself struggling at times to believe the technology. It almost borders on fantasy, but the theme of mankind’s dependence on easy entertainment and losing contact with real people is valid and very prevalent today. I will give book 2 a try before I pass final judgement.
