Terrific Resource. This is a wonderful collection of ideas for incorporating the creative use of an iPad in a visual communication classroom. Great app suggestions along with media to support us visual learners!

Dated book with missing apps. Unfortunately, many of the applications mentioned (Mixala and others) are no longer available from the Apple Store. Also, the book would not load the original images and only left “?” images for missing content.

Amazing!. Cathy's website is an incredible resource, but this book packs her ideas, practice and teaching tools into one easy to use resource for teachers. It's not just for art people, either. All creative educators should see how great tasks can create links between digital tools and traditional skills. This book is full of inspiration and practical lesson plans. And you know they work because it's all from her own classroom - it's refreshing to see a real teaching, not just theoretical stuff! Download it!

Must download resource!. Cathy’s book is a must have for anybody wishing to explore the amazing capabilities of the iPad within schools. This book is not just great for art teacher, but any teacher. So many great ideas and really inspiring ways that the iPad can help students create amazing pieces of art.

Must download. You don't have to be an art teacher or an art lover to love this book. From the moment I opened the first page, I couldn't wait to touch and link to the video examples and applications. In fact I loved this book so much I didn't linger on any page, but raced through to explore all the different APPS and teaching strategies. I then had to go back to the start again to take the time to fully explore each page and appreciate the "art" and "design" elements of this excellent teaching reference book . I loved the layout of the book and illustrations, in particular the simple explanations and workflows for the use of specific apps to create engaging teaching strategies . Being a teacher of vocational teachers , I could see how I could use and transfer these strategies , workflows and APPS to enhance my own and colleagues teaching practices. I cannot recommend this book for just k -12 art teachers. I HIGHLY recommend this book for ANY teacher who wants to challenge themselves and their students by introducing creative thinking and engaging strategies using the iPad and workflow APPS into their classroom. And for the Lay person, get this book and your iPad and start exploring your own creativity!
