Skin Game. Butcher has an amazing imagination. It's never dull. He writes with a skill that few writers ever achieve. I have read all his books and eagerly await the next.

Well done, Mr. Butcher!. I was worried about the book being too short but the pacing is good and the story wraps up nicely. While I missed some of the action and epicness on Harry's part, an incredibly heartwarming moment and a good set up for future Dresden stories definitely made this book worth the purchase.

Harry is back!. Butcher does it again! Dresden is better than ever in a story that's hard to stop reading.

Wow. I read this book starting at 10am on my couch and finished it near 1am the next day on my bathroom counter. I'm not sure how I got here but there was laughter, tears and an embarrassing amount of non-manly squeals throughout the journey. As the man once said, "Nuff said."

Jim Butcher Does it Again With Skin Game. Brilliant, hilarious, intense, heartwarming, and amazing just like all the books before Skin Game and all the books that will follow. Harry Dresden is Spider-Man, Indian jones, Rudy, Sherlock Holmes, and Gandalf combined. What other books have Santa Claus (aka Odin), Hades, and a skin walker? If you love fantasy, mythology, and comedies look no further. Thank you Jim Butcher for giving me a break from the weight of the world and for all the life lessons I have learned from your books. I will preorder your next book as soon as it is available. Please keep writing more Dresden Files!!!

Another great Dresden work. A great addition to the series.

Butcher at his best. I have yet to be disappointed by any of the Dresden books, and Skin Game delivers the action and unexpected twists that only Harry Dresden can deliver. The Denarians, Knights of the Cross, Mab, and Johnny Marcone all show up to help or hinder our favorite wizard and Knight of the Winter Court. I couldn't put it down.

Amazing. Finished it in a day. Lost much sleep. Have no regrets. Pick it up, and you won't be able to put it down. Each book in this series is progressively better than the last. I don't think there are any authors out there that have been able to consistently do this as well as Jim Butcher for fifteen books straight. And that's before you include the graphic novels and short story compilation books. As a prolific reader and a writer myself, I can only admire this work and say that I eagerly look forward to reading the next one. And the one after that. And each one after that... These books are an inspiration and are irrefutable proof of the immeasurable scope of the human imagination. This to anyone who has never so much as touched any of these books before: pick it up and prepare to be amazed. Jim Butcher never disappoints.

WOW!!!. Jim has hit another home run! Excitement, terror, six demon bags, and all that kind of stuff! You will never guess what is around the next corner as the tale runs its course. Superb job! Can't wait for the next one! Hurry up, Jim!

Ten Stars. I've been along for the ride from the beginning. This particular tale left me both elated and saddened. Elated for obvious reasons but saddened because I must wait another year for the next installment of Harry's trek through the labyrinth of magical skulduggery. Write faster, master Butcher. Your audience awaits impatiently. BJS

Excellent!. I love this series and this one does not disappoint! I read it in two days. I loved the storyline and plot twists. I hate waiting a year for the next one, though.

Nice finish. Not bad. Unlike GRRM who kills the hero in every book(I hate that and won't read any more of his works), Jim finishes the story with lots of questions answered. Need a little more on Molly though. Thanks Jim!

Knockout. I am a huge fan of the Dresden files, and this book was on point, classic Harry. It's one of the best ones he's written, and I was enthralled (no pun intended) from start to finish - fast paced, brilliant twists, magical thrill ride with a bit of criminal mystery thrown in. The stakes were high and the explosions enormous, but one of the reasons I like this installment of the series in particular was the fact that while it was a classic Dresden feat of saving the world from destruction, it felt lighter than some of the recent books, and that made the ride exceptionally thrilling and fun. A must for any fantasy/thriller enthusiast. Parkour!

A Good Read. This was an enjoyable read if one is familiar with Wizard Dresden and his earlier exploits. However, as a stand alone novel, a bit in satisfying. The thought discussion are a bit too long and self absorbed, while the supporting characters are only superficially involved. The plot was a bit contrived as well. So I am looking forward to a more involved novel for the next installment.

Great Read. Been with the series from the get go. One of a kind and I love it. Easily tied for first place in my favorites (the night angel trilogy is a close 2nd) I couldn't put it down and am already ready for the next book!!!!

Love this series!. It was already a great series, but the last few books have been a paradigm shift in the main character's "life," adding new life to the series. It was a risk taken by the author, Jim Butcher, that really paid off.

Always amazing. Go read all the other books as well, the Dresden books are some of the best modern fantasy books there are. Jim Butcher needs to live forever and write them continuously for generations to come. (Just kidding Jim, but you better not croak before you finish Harry Dresden's story or I'll personally raise your shade from the underworld myself to do it.)

Fantastic. Jim Butcher never ceases to amaze; you think you know where the story is going, then he pulls out something different and it's fantastic! I laughed lots, cried a bit, and cheered on our favorite characters from beginning to end. The overarching story is progressing nicely, can't wait for the next one.

Another Great Title. Harry Dresden, Wizard is in trouble again. A lot of trouble! And this book really ups the ante on the danger level he faces. The only downside to having read this latest installment of the Dresden Files is that it’s going to be another year until book #16 comes out! :)

Yet another!. Yet another amazing chapter in the Dresden Files... This series had become a requirement for inclusion in books I'd have to have if trapped on a desert island. This book just doesn't fail to please...and ties up some looming issues and introduces some new ones! As expected... A pure joy to read...couldn't put it down...sad to see it end as I usually am. ...can't believe I have to wait for the next one!!!

There is no try.... Full of the kind of groaning references and crazy plot twists that Dresden fans live for. A pleasure to read, with some uplifting moments. I laughed. I cried. A great read! I had trouble putting it down.

Holy Grail, Batman!. Let's face it, if you've made it this far in the series, you're going to read this. This is one of the better books in my opinion and Butcher does a lot to keep the action moving and the reader guessing. I thoroughly enjoyed the change of direction from detective novel to heist novel.

Harry Dresden is the man. I can never get enough Harry Dresden. Each book gets better and better. This book just shows that he has a lot of stories still to tell. I can't wait to see what else Mab has in store for Harry! There is so much going on right now that Jim butcher will have to write 50 more books. At least.

Insanely exciting. He's still got it. Some pretty fantastic twists and turns in this entry. Dresden Files started out as a detective/mystery/who-done-it series but has since morphed into a rather epic fantasy story with world-affecting consequences. This book advances that story remarkably well. Admittedly I'm a fanboy of the series, but this is another 5-star Dresden Files blowout!

Amazing!. Jim Butcher is a master of the genre and keeps this series fresh, alive, and exciting with every new installment.

Skin game. This series has always been my favorite for at least 3 reasons. 1) GREAT WRITING! 2) amazingly interesting characters. And 3) the references! A wonderfully cleaver addition to prime urban fantasy. PARKOUR!

Excellent. Excellent book. The internal struggle for Dresden (winter knight (if you read the previous books this shouldn’t be new) and all that jazz) throughout this book was top notch and did not fail to keep me entranced. I could not put this book down.

Never enough. I can honestly say I've never read past 4 books of any series by any author, until I read the Dresden Files by Jim Butcher. The best in light hearted, thoroughly entertaining adult contemporary fantasy with bite. Actually, one could market this series under several genres: romance, thriller, gumshoe-detective-mystery, action adventure, and by no means the least, humour. So far, Mr Butcher has maintained the perfect balance between the formula he's created that we fans love in a Dresden story, and introducing new twists to keep one coming back for more. A few of his detractors complain of predictability and a lack of complexity, but they miss the point of his chief intentions: entertainment, laughter and the feel-good empowering moral allegory that one good man can make a difference; cliche, but Butcher crafts it like few others, or with as much fun. Jim has said this series may hit 22 books ... I say keep 'em comin'. May the Foo dogs be with you.
