A Great Read. I took a chance on this book - not generally being one for books about star ships - and am really glad that I did. A lively plot, good characters, and fun writing. I would definitely recommend it!

An excellent story telling book!. I was not sure I would like this book by an author unknown to me but I gave myself 2 chapters, as usual, to help make up my mind. I was already into the first chapter and I knew I couldn't quit until I had finished the entire book! Now you get your chance to read they book and decide for yourself whether you finish it or not. I know from experience that not everyone's taste is the same.

Nicely done. Finding a new author to follow is rare enough, finding one that writes in an engaging and entertaining manner as this work displays is as surprising as finding a soul sword in the bottom of a mine 😉 The story moves along well, the character development does take a back seat to story progression, but the complete work stands up well. I'll be following the adventure and after submitting this review, I'll get the next book in the series. I suggest you do so too.

Balanced on the Blades Edge. This is a fantastic and riveting read from the get go. Although the story is a bit short, the author takes the time to develop the main characters more than enough to keep the reader interested. At the sometime she doesn't drag the story down with too many details. It moves along at a crisp clip without gaps or slow spots. As usual, Lindsay Buroker has written a book that I just couldn't put down.

Blade’s edge. A good read, lots of action and subtle humor. Makes me wish I could get to know the hero and heroine better.

What is a SoulBlade?. Finished the first three. Good premise and great story, lovable characters, very well written. I got this as a freebie, in January 2019 I think, and I’m definitely buying the fourth book in the series. Balanced on the Blade’s Edge: A sorceress, buried underground, awakes after 300 years to find her entire civilization destroyed. Her mountain home has been turned into a prison, mining valuable resources for a society at war with an empire. She must find her sword, an intelligent magic item called a SoulBlade, and escape to freedom. As her only ally, she befriends a decorated pilot, installed as the compounds’ leader, punishment for his many years of crossing the line with his officers. Will she get free?

Absolutely loved this book!. Was very happily surprised with this story. Figured I would give it a try, and I loved it. It has a little bit of everything, and keeps you reading wishing there was more when you finish.

Lindsay Buroker has done it again!. This is my first review done for a book in which I received a copy from the author [which completely and thoroughly made my day by the way!!!!]. This review is my honest opinion: Lindsay Buroker has done it again! I don't know how she can write a mediocre book in 2 weeks let alone a great one but this is a GREAT one! I truly enjoyed this book. As a pastor's wife I always feel the need to specify a few things....this one has some sex in it folks. You don't have to read the details....skip those portions. There is some foul language as well but it is relatively minor. Overall I don't feel compromised for having read the story. This book is a change from the norm for Lindsay and a nice change. She planned this as a stand alone novel but I wouldn't mind seeing more! Thank you Ms Buroker!

Can't get enough. I can't ever put down one of Lindsey Buroker's books; she's causing me to lose a lot of sleep! Non-stop action, a touch of romance, and Lindsey actually knows how to write. I was afraid her characters would be cookie cutter copies, but they are well-developed amongst all the action. Her plots are full of variety too. I think I have all her e-books now, but it's almost 2am; I'd better save the last two for after work tomorrow.

Great Adventure Story. I enjoy sci-fi/fantasy and finding new authors, and Lindsay Buroker is a new favorite. Great storyteller, puts her characters together well and the story never drags. A real find for me.

Balanced on the Blades Edge by Lindsey Buroker. A terrific read with amazing characters named Ridge and a great Sorcerer with a sword named Jaxi. Definitely time for hot popcorn and a cuddly place to read all night long while being entertained with an exceptional series that wins hands down compared to just watching a movie. Gotta go cuz my next book is waiting for me to begin reading. KSW

Good read. A good book, I liked the main characters, story was ok, it looks like a good start to a series.

Great start to a new series. I don’t know how Lindsay Buroker does it, but another series of hers has me drawn in to a believable and yet fantastical world. A slight note of caution was that there was a bit more romance than I go for in books usually but this not a romance novel so please don’t be put off by this comment. If anything, the fact that I still read through, am giving it 4 stars and am starting the next book proves that the romantic aspect doesn’t get in the way. Another series by this wonderful author is underway! As I said before, how does she do it?!

Enjoyed it but not as much as other reads from this author. Great alternative reality. I just didn’t like the romance aspects. Previous books I have read from this author have been great sci-fi with plenty of sarcastic humour. This one didn’t quite deliver

Balanced on The Blade's Edge. Fantastic book that I couldn't put down. Writing was witty and humorous and the author knows how to capture her audience. Didn't come off "cheesy" as many of the books that deal with magic swords and a sorceress often do. Excellent read for the late teens through adults.

Balanced on the Blade’s Edge. I love that while this book was short, the author did an AMAZING job at creating a detailed and mysterious world that vividly describes how the lives of two protagonists entwine together. This book is different from the type of books that I read, but I found the story to be breathtaking and exciting. I LOVE IT!

Delightful. I've never read a story quite like it. Took a few chapters to get into it, but many good books are like that. I enjoyed the pure escapism and will look for more work by this author.
