Don’t waste your money. I get it, not all of us have the space for a large smoker like the author owns. I found the smugness of this book to be incredibly annoying, it was a waste of money.
Awesome book. If you want to know any and everything about BBQ you should defiantly read this book. Great job by Franklin explaining it down to the meat fibers.
Disappointed. Aaron Franklin continuously tells you that the devil is in the details, he even explains buying wood, how to keep a clean fire and how to meticulously wrap your ribs, yet he doesn't give a simple recipe for brisket rub. "try what you like and experiment". I didn't buy the book to be told to experiment, I bought the book for details. Oh, he gives details, ("what's the best beer for BBQ"! Really?!? That I don't need a book for...) just not the kind of book I was looking for. Personally I like Myron Nixons book/s better.
